I figured since we all want to get better with her, then why not have a GG’s thread here? just for Rose. I think it would help alot of us who need some guidance.
Also, if your friend list is full, we can just ask players for fights in here, it can also reduce the number of “looking for good rose players” threads.
Me myself, im an all Rose player, I started messing with Sagat, but I dont think its a good idea to go that way, specially not for me, I got a long way to go before I can be good at this game, thats why I dropped Viper, shes probably the last character I want to mess with now.

Well sir, GGs, a few things before I forget…I noticed that 90% of the time, you started matches with backdash > LP SS. I punished it a few times in a row and hoped you’d catch on. MP and HP are better on recovery, so try to use those more when people are closer to you. Some block strings with her normals would be good, I didn’t see you use the HK button at all really. Good use of cr.MP. You were a bit too eager on the ultras, but most of the time I didn’t punish it. I think you have a pretty good foundation. I’m going to put up some of my matches so better Rose players can give me some tips, besides the obvious “do combos” which is something I should do lol
Lastly you were using level 3 focuses on my wakeup some. That’s not really a great idea…it did surprise me though.
Yeah, I like to do c.lk c.mp c.lk c.pm but I totally forgot about alot of stuff since I started on Sagat, I dropped him though, I need to learn the game first and I feel more comfortable with Rose at this point.
Oh and the Level 3 focus… I got scared and tried back dashing, but I failed
Ggs to you as well I do horrible in mirror matches so I was doing a lot of stupid stuff. Plus I never realize how slow her fireball is till I play against her :lol: on another note I noticed you started jumping a lot on after you would get knocked down I don’t know if I conditioned you to do that with all my jumping or if you got nervous but that’s when I started using chp for wakeup options which isn’t good on my part but it worked. Also yes I did get hit by a lot of drills :sad: but I after I played you I noticed that had I been on my game I could have ex drilled supered or ultra through it since you had such a big gap between the second cmp and lk drill. Try to speed up the timing on the cancel so you don’t get punished for it.
As for my game I noticed I was doing too much random stuff and was frustrating myself especially since it seemed like I couldn’t get crossups for shit but once I get my reigns I can start doing my combos again. I wasted too many oppurtunities for damage just relying on the super when I know it doesn’t do that much damage
GGs to purify today! That was my first time fightng a solid Rose so I got kicked and ex sparked in the face alot trying to adjust to her and deal with shit I use daily. It also reinforced just how good c.mp is and just because slide is negative on block…somehow it don’t matter :lol: Psychic Ultras are fun!
Yeah we’ll have to play again man. I don’t know how much we have to gain from playing the mirror (will that ever happen offline lol) but it does help learn some things about our character. And yeah I definitely had that “my shit’s beating my ass” feeling too lol

try purifyweirdsoul’s rose, so far its the best one ive fought personally. I think most of us are on the right path, we just have to work a little harder to get that perfect rose… lol

I’d love to get in on some of these games. I have only played against Rose only a few times. It feels like I’m the only one who uses her on XBL. Feel free to add me as I am looking to improve my Rose. I’m pretty decent right now, but there are always little things I can do to get a little better.
Some of you may have received XBL messages from me already; however, I’d like to go some bouts with the lot. I’m usually on everyday in the evenings from 5 to 8PM central time.
If anyone wants to go a few rounds with me hit me up. I have my good streaks and bad streaks but I’m always up to play another Rose player, in about 800 matches online I think I’ve only run into maybe 10 Rose players.
I’ll be on this evening at about 6pm eastern time.
Ggs to tahlbon. You played a very strong aggro rose I noticed I had to slow it up some to get my bearings. When you were on it though you were on it so good shit. I did notice you tried to chip for the win too much though sometimes it worked other times it didn’t. For the most part unless the chip will gaurantee the win I would search for the clean hit. I was sitting on ultra or meter too many times when you tried to kill me that way. Also I was allowed to jump too much normally I wouldn’t move in like that but I noticed you didn’t know how to properly deal with jump ins. Chp slide ex soul throw all work well. Oh and last note try not to fireball then super cancel that’s a waste of meter since you can jump both of them cleanly. Other than that I can’t think of anything else you do good at pressure just slow it up sometimes and work on defense.
As for me I was being too reckless. I kept tryin to force my moves through your pressure strings, kept jumping a lot, and was sliding at all the wrong times. As for the ground chain I kept thinkin I was hitting you when I wasn’t and vice versa when I was. I try to only use lk drill since its safest after the chain but the few times I hit I came up short with it. I need to work on that. Also I wasn’t using my meter properly I was too busy tryin to throw fireballs also I didn’t use my shk or smk to push you out when I needed space. Looks like ill be in training mode tonight.
