If u were to wake up, just block sometimes and ex drill other times, i often knew what u were going to do, and punish accordingly.

Good games, the Rose matches were pretty entertaining, you have a nice Rose. I think we only played 4 matches of Rose vs Rose, really close but I think I took them 3-1. The 1st game where I joined you my stick died (actually it came unplugged when my cat decided to jump across the entertainment center…lol) Your Rose has some nice FADC combos and setups. :tup:
Parasite, GGs! You played my Gief a few days ago. You have a really good Rose. My Rose training as a 2ndary hasn’t been going too well so I think i’ve given up.:wasted:
Yeah, I’ve played against a few Rose mainers and I have yet to see those combos I do. They’re flashy but that’s how I play Rose. I main Dhalsim now. I felt I was going nowhere with Rose…
lol. Those two characters are quite the opposite. What problems are you having with her?
Well, I used to main Rose in the Alpha series aswell as Gief. But Rose doesn’t translate too well for me in SF4. No crazy strong super to combo into, no juggles, shes just over all weaker in this one. I have never been great at doing combos, im more of a zone trap big damage / grappler in all fighting games. But I also like quick ninja hit and run moves. I use mostly normals and poke to death when I use Rose.
What is going bad for me is the fact that I can win if I don’t get knocked down. Once im down I usually end up losing the tide of battle and get rocked. Where is Rose’s wake up game? Im just not used to having to run on wakeup. I forget for 5 seconds and there is 75% of her already weak life.
Its a large contrast when you main Gief.

I couldn’t get anything started, I was missing my links, whiffing moves left and right, wasting meter by screwing up my FADC attempts and missing just about every opportunity to punish. I was WAY off my game today. I had to call mercy at 7-0…lol.

Though in our series of matches you only played me as Rose once. Your Chun Li is pretty good and you’re looking to try and set up your ultra, but you may be trying a little too much for it. Also, I’m not sure a run away style Chun is going to be your best bet, at least not against Rose. Chun Li is easily one of, if not my worst match up. I shouldn’t have been able to get away with most of what I was doing. And what works is a pressure style game plan with mix ups and a decent dose of her hazzan flip kick when you get in close so I just can’t walk in and start pestering you. Chun Li has got some nice pokes and her c.hk is ridiculous in it’s ability to stuff Rose’s pokes yet you did neither. No pressure, and no mix up attempts and any time you got in close you just seemed to want to mash c.lp.

gg to nacor cb. I wasn’t expecting to face anyone in a mirror match, let alone get my ass kicked seven ways from Sunday! Blanka’s I can handle, and even Sagat’s aren’t that much of a problem anymore, but trying to out Rose another Rose? Hmm… more practice methinks!
