Nah, I dunno. I think it’s the little things that I stand out more to me. Different habits you guys have. Saqs likes sweep and jab pressure. Luffy likes cross-ups and dash up throw. He also uses more stand roundhouse.
Both of you like your soul sparks though that’s for damn sure.
that sounds a lot like me I mean, I can be Aggro Crag with incessant poking, but I know to ease off when they have ultra. then if it’s a DP character (including balrog), I just spiral since that’s the single best thing for rose to trade with. sweep trade with DP into free ultra for them? screw that business.
Anyway, you gotta master yourself. You gotta be playing smarter in general and maximize your damage. You kept sliding and sliding even though time and again I showed you that shit doesn’t fly with me. You musta ate at least 30 stand short xx TS/TU before you stopped sliding as much. But even then I would catch you. In one of our last matches you slid and ate s.lk xx TU FADC f+hk Ultra.
Don’t try to zone me. Just don’t. You are gonna get rocked.
Hang out at mid range and play footsies.
Punish me harder. None of this grab bullshit. If you have Ultra you need to fuckin Ultra me if I whiff a TU. If not then do FA lvl 2 low fierce xx hk spiral.
You got real predictable with those backdashes and meaty TK’s and OS TK were raping you alot. Not your fault completely, but you gotta mix in some EX spirals sometimes to keep me honest. Remember that your Super is your best reversal so sometimes it’s a good idea to conserve meter for it.
Mostly though you gotta not panic when I’m on you. When you were in corner vs you would just flip the fuck out and mash jabs like a mad man. It worked occasionally but alot of the time you just ate a counter hit TU or I nailed a counter hit combo. You need to control yourself. Half the time I didn’t even have to fight you. I just sat back and let you destroy yourself.
That’s what I meant when I said you need to master yourself.
Right. Thanks for the tips. From what I gathered, one really needs to maximize damage whenever possible because Sagat is so powerful that, mostly, Rose can only feed off his mistakes rather than trying to mount the offensive (as most usually try to do with Slide or reflecting projectiles).
This kind of reminds me of Rose vs. Sagat in Street Fighter Alpha 2, except the other way around…
Damn, I might pick up the PS3 version of the game so I can get in on this Sagat training lol. Pretty basic antics can win against most XBL Sagats, which obviously isn’t representative of top players. I kinda doubt I’ll ever be able to beat, say, LI Joe at local tourneys, but I’d like to be able to make it interesting.
Yeah. But I wouldn’t be able to get to play some good matches with the egotistic superman of a person that EmblemLord is anyway because of the state difference.
Well, that’s why I deleted it. I was just poking at Sagat, not really saying anything towards you, but I read it after I posted it and was like, “Yeah, nevermind.”
