Sorry choco, this is how I feel and it’s the truth. I don’t mean you. I stopped posting there and will never go there again.
Again sorry.

I’m just kidding, stopped going when everyone else did too. Don’t think anyone posts there anymore </3.
We did not mind sharing any tech.
Actually, this argument started because we do share tech.
But when someone kindly asks someone else not to make a video out of it, don’t make a fucking video out of it.
For Rose’s sake :/.
Oh btw

did you send him an angry reply too?
OK, guys, everyone made his point on this. I think no one wants to continue a discussion that can only end in flaming. So let’s cut it out before destroying the pleasant atmosphere the Rose forum used to have.
1 thing to remember when doing the cross up j.HP after a soul throw
I hope the peace is restored. New Rose Player here I have a question. When you score a counter hit with Close St.MK if I use c.HP to follow up the counter will it mystery whiff like Close St.HK does from time to time??
Hello ladies, actually i’m mister no one, but i follow the offline scene from long ago…so, let me you all have my opinion:
Do you really think keeping “secrects” would protect them?
There is something called offline practice and phrases like “would you help me in that match up?”…seriously wtf…
I really appreciate acku’s work, and it would really change anything if he post or not videos that explanes rose’s strengths instead of some online f4g that would block a little bit more, cause topz or also mid level player like me that follow an offline scene knows them (oh, btw rose is also my main, but i can also say this for other chars).
…soooo, what’s the matter? -_- Seriously.
Ok, it’s fine to say that rose have few tricky setups (expecially compared to char like cammybitch or akuma, etc/etc/etc…) and it’s fine to protect them, but seriously, after 4 years of sf? and 1 of ae? meh
edit: it’s not vanilla anymore, where only saqs or luffy were on Rose…
ah, yeah, sorry for my terrible english. With love, b1tches
if you do counter hit cl.mk on a crounching opponent with a normal hurtbox (ryu for example) or anything smaller it will whiff. If they are standing it then cr.HP will connect. I think crouching opponents with bigger hitbox (sagat / hawk / seth etc) it will hit them regardless if they are standing or crouching (actually sagat can be hit with cl.HK if he’s standing)
I was playing around in training mode with Rose’s “forward throw and slide into meaty cr.LK” and managed to combo the cr.LK into cr.HP and a cancelled special of your choice. With this setup Rose gives up her option selects against backdashes but it works well as a frame trap. Worth implementing into your arsenal of setups.
This setup works against all characters except Balrog/Boxer, Dudley, and Hakan. Cr.HP whiffs on the former two characters and cr.LK whiffs on the latter (while cr.HP connects, strangely enough).
yeah I’ve tried it but didn’t explore this enough! thanks for the tip! do you do slide right after the forward throw or do you just delay a bit ?
Do it immediately after the throw.
Heavy_Mental, you said that
Your maximum damage metered punish without Ultra 2 is cr.HP xx LP/MP Spark FADC -> cr.HP xx Spiral. 1f link.
I know that after a LP Spark FADC cr. HP is a one frame link but I didn’t think that
MP Spark FADC cr. HP is a one frame link as well, I thought it was easier than that or so it feels.
I have an easier time doing the MP Spark FADC as well, which is why I use it over LP Spark. They have the same frame advantage but different FADC windows. LP Spark has to be cancelled early while MP Spark can be cancelled later. MP Spark has the benefit of being easier to confirm into a FADC combo off a frame trap (e.g. cr.LK-> cr.HP xx MP Spark) but unfortunately it’s not a true blockstring. This is a non-issue for punishes however so just use whichever version of Soul Spark you are more comfortable with.
Thank you very much Heavy_Mental
So I take a short break and come back to see the possibility of information and technology being withheld? I don’t know what to make of this being a closet Rose player. T_T
Last thing Rose players need is to turn on each other.
It’s too late. When someone asks everyone not to do one specific thing in trade for his setups, and someone completely disregards it and compiles exactly what was said not to compile, that person just lost our trust.
That’s unfortunate, but I have two questions regarding this topic. So does this mean that one guys misconduct has ruined it for others? And for the better Rose players such as you Anton (I hope calling you by your name is not offensive), are you guys done helping the lesser skilled Rose players?
I ask this because I came here genuinely looking for some strats/tech to incorporate into my game since I want to main Rose.
Ok now to transition back unto the forum topic
I was playing a few good Rufus players yesterday and I noticed something that they were doing when I activated my U2. Sometimes I use U2 as defensively to gain some breathing room, The Rufus players used EX Galactic Tornado to take away my orbs. Another thing I realized against Rufus when he hits Rose with Ex Messiah kick while using her c.mk it hits her once then he sails over her. Is this a fluke? Because I went into training mode tried it and it seemed to good to be true.
Last question. Have any of you guys have had your combos dropped because of the orbs of U2 ruined the combo? I played a Chun user. I crossed her up with the U2 MP Soul throw trick, I went into Rose bnb lp, lp, lk, c.mp, ex soul spiral, but the chun was able to block after the second orb hit her which was like a split second after I hit the c.mp link. <<<I hope this is a clear enough explanation. I dont have anything to record or upload the video at the moment.
Just wondering if its just my Rose being low level or this maybe a common occurrence
about Rufus:
I’m not sure about the Chun stuff but probably due of the pushback of the second orb Chun was pushed further away making your EX spiral hit later. At that time the hitstun was probably already finished. I’m only theorizing here because I have no visual cue to fully understand what you mean but this is what I think it is
