Soo Sheva isn’t as brainless as I’d imagined.
I set her to the “Cover” setting and she doesnt randomly waste ammo like in the demo.
And she’s like a bloodhound lol
every time I get lost she just runs to where we’re supposed to go 
She doesn’t waste it randomly, but damned if she doesn’t waste more than she needs to. When she downs someone she won’t wait for me to stomp on the bastard, she puts three more rounds in him before I can finish the job for free.

Bleh, I stick with my pistol//shotgun//knife//nade with 10 extra rounds of pistol ammo and all the shotgun shells for me. I was getting tired of the AI of Sheva warning me she is about to die or out of ammo so gave her a machine gun, rifle, upgraded pistol, shotgun(find your own shells bitch) with the rest of the ammo and all the herbs.
Edit: Also, is it me or the AI of Sheva is 2x retarded than the demo? Seriously I’m right in front of her, knifing the hell out of so many zombie’s and she continues to shoot(friendly fire) my ass.
I hear ya but I might not be able to accomodate. I’m not off of work until 8pm tonight and not picking up my copy until tonight after work and I need to pack fro my trip to California tomorrow. I won’t be back until Monday. Sorry man, I gotta see my boy. It’s been 3 months now.
give sheva the sniper rifle when you don’t need it necessarily. ai is pretty good in using the rifle in close combat.
finished the game already 3 days ago. fun game. liked it more than re4 at least.
re4 was held in as high regard as oot being one of the greatest games of all time…does re5 liveup to the incredible hype?

what makes it worst, I start to spam out like crazy because I’m trying to save all my bullets and use my knife, dumb chick is wasting all of hers and I said fuck it.Left her to die. cut the 360 off,and start to rant here.

I’m not that far into it yet, but…not really. Maybe someone else who has beaten the game is better suited, but…it seems to be missing some of the shit that made RE4 so badass: the atmosphere, especially. It doesn’t have anything to do with the time of day in the game, but, yea…
I’m having a good amount of fun with it though, playing with my friends.
Just played the demo tonight, gotta say I’m not really that impressed. Is it worth the buy for mercenaries? That was played nonstop in my house for months after RE4 was released.
I hear ya brutha, shit just didn’t work it so we could roll on launch day. Maybe 2 Friday the 13ths in a row was too much. At any rate, msg me when shit is good to go. I like the game more now than I did when the demo came along, I’m down whenever.

the problem was how significant the update to the series was…now in an age of run and gun games on 360, it’s not seen as big anymore what RE5 does. Still a great game but for me 2 and 4 will remain my faves.
also are ALL of you struggling with sheva? my advice to all of you is this:
only allow her to use the pistol the whole game and have her keep all the health items. I never had to worry about fumbling with shit afterwards. I used the small SMG, shotgun and sniper rifle with nades or later the grenade launcher.
get used to the quick switch on the D pad…it’ll save you a LOT of time! :tup:

I been playing it for a week now. It doesn’t compare to RE4 at all, though it’s still a sick game.
I think they failed to top RE4 cause they focused too much on Co-op. Appealing to the Gears/Halo crowd, in more ways than one.
Pretty much all the boss fights are inferior to RE4. Hell most of em are boring. Regular gameplay is great, due to the aggresive enemies, but babysitting AI is no fun.
Best mercenaries mode ever though. Shit’s gonna keep me busy for years. Just A ranked all levels.
And yeah, use the AI as a suitcase. Nothing more. Have them pick up all the ammo you dont need. Keep one healing item yourself, the rest i theirs.
Giving them a machine gun is good most the time, since you get loads of ammo for it. Same for the rifles, which AI use better then humans most the time.

Looks like I’ll be holding out on this one for a little while, I’m reading too many mixed reactions so far. And after DMC4, I don’t really get hyped for games anymore.

Seems my impressions were validated about this game. Absolutely loved re4, but forcing co-op was epic dumb.
