Has anyone tried online co-op yet? I keep getting “The game session has been canceled” message every time I try to join my friend’s game. :\
Just completed 2-1. Should I be upgrading stock weapons on the first run, or should I save for better weapons?

Anyways, love this game. Love that it’s also co-op. Only thing that kind of sucks about local 2p, is the split screen. But I have a pretty big TV so it’s not that big a deal.
Looks so much more awesome on one big screen though.
For the whole game, I left Sheva in cover mode and only let her use the pistol. I never used any of the SMGs.
I’m having a hard time as to what I should upgrade LOL. I do like how the default handgun can hold a 100 clip but it’s so shit at stopping power.
I might just go for an upgraded magnum

pretty much what I did. and that bold part is now fixed…
I find reapers to be killed easy with an SMG.
I think I’m on 2.2 or 2.3
Maxed out the Handgun’s Firepower and Carry still got one left on Reload and C. Hit.
And I kinda feel stupid for buying that Melee Vest and doing the game on Normal.
Got a damned good partner that I met in the Demo.
I completely ditched the handgun around chapter 3 something, been using SMG/Shotgun/Magnum, while Sheva has got pistol/sniper/health stuff.
We need to do that Egg Glitch and rake up some money guys >_> Remember to send a FR to GT: Lord Doku
Edit: Oh, and I’ve been playing single player the whole time and have had a hell of a time. Can’t wait for co-op!

Love this game completely. I got stuff to bitch about, but it’s really more of the same.
Worth every bit of the $40.
The egg ‘glitch’ (more an exploit than a glitch) is having Player 1 give all their rotten eggs to Player 2, then quitting the game and only saving on Player 2. Player 1 doesn’t lose their eggs, and Player 2 keeps theirs. Repeat until Player 2 has 45 rotten eggs (the most you can carry), and then repeat in reverse to give Player 1 as many rotten eggs as you want (they’re worth $2000 apiece)
It’s a hell of a lot faster than the other money accumulating method (speed runs of 5-2, you get $21000 in 15 minutes)
It’s partially a matter of opinion and playstyle, but I felt that early shotguns and machineguns are really weak compared to the M33 and AK-47. You can go ahead and upgrade the first handgun/magnum you get. Doesn’t really matter which rifle you upgrade, as they all get the job done (the last one has the best firing rate/recovery, though)
Anybody know how the chapter grades are determined? Only up to chapter 4, I’ve gotten straight A’s so far. I have no i dea why though, I’m slow as piss too :wonder:
man…as eas yas it was to finish RE5 I dunno my Merc skills from RE4 kinda don’t help me much…then again I need to get a better feel for the stages before trying for a serious run.
also doesn’t help that playing as Sheva sucks cause her HUD is reversed and i can’t change that! :mad:

Man this game was intense. One little thing that annoyed me is that most of your boss fights were full of tentacles and brolic looking huge dudes.
Jesus, those tribal majini are fucking brutal! I’m playing this on veteran and we both (my co-op partner) had a hard time with them. Once those guy with the mask come, i was like fuuuuuuuuck!!

Question about online co-op… When you join a game, and then leave, does the host have to start over or does the AI just take over?
Replicating golden eggs by having a 2nd player join the game with a golden egg. Have the player leave the game, the CPU takes over. Take the golden egg. Then have the 2nd player rejoin, he still his egg and you picked the one off the CPU. Repeat over and over.
Yeah, my brother and I ran into those masked ones before we stopped last night. We tried going to a second floor and they just jumped after us. They really are a pain.
