That I agree with 100%. The game is about survival, which didn’t seem to stick with some of the sequels. I really wish those elements had or still can make it into RE5.
That one worm boss that you had to put into a furnace :annoy: Seriously you had to find two pieces of paper with numbers on them. Then subtract them and that was the code for the elevator!
Anyone play Resident Evil Dead Aim(?)? Was there a part 2 to that?
Game, bonus disc with art, trailers and a “Making Of” featurette. Steel case, Chris Redfield action figure, pendant and a fucking TRICELL messenger bag. This could be the first SE I ever buy for myself.
Seems like your standard LE fare these days. I’ll most likely be getting it, but I don’t know if there’s anything in there I like except for the Chris figure. It’s not $30-more awesome.
I’m excited for this game as an RE fan, but disappointed with a lot of it at the same time. I’ve never been so conflicted with any game like this before. But I’ll give the game a fair shot and judgment once I get it and beat it. I’ve probably said this 100 times in this thread but I can’t think of anything new to say when I read something new on the game.
I’ve stopped reading about this game and watching videos since the demo leak so I hope something surprises me.
Do you guys think that RE5 will have the same tension as Horde mode in Gears of War 2 does or Left 4 Dead? Like playing Horde mode with just one other person is pretty intense. You really have to work as a team because unless there is only a few enemies left if your partner dies you’re fucked. Same goes with Left 4 Dead but only more so since you can’t hide n’ heal.
The thing about RE is that the enemies are slow but the way you aim isn’t as easy as those games I just mentioned. I really don’t want to play this game and feel like I’m actionfesting through it.
I just downloaded the new US demo and damn this game is fun. I’m having a hard time getting used to the controls though. Switching from a Playstation control scheme to XBox is gonna take a few more playthroughs.
I was also a big fan of Outbreak. Spent the 100 bucks for the hard drive and everything. Unfortunately not many people had the hard drive so online play was slow anyways. On to downloading the demo.
Yeah it took some getting used to at first. I stuck with it though because it’s easier to shoot/attack with the Right Trigger and have the knife as LB. I don’t mind aiming with Right Analog either because I’m used to it now.
Type C is like old school RE 4 style where you aim with Right Trigger and Left Analog shoot with the x button (or square on ps3) except you can still strafe like in Type D. Type A of course is RE4. Strafing is not really necessary as most of the time you’ll be running.
This game would be best on Wii controls actually. If only because you could aim and turn at the same time (left stick and wii remote) aiming from far left to far right up close is a lot faster with the wii remote.
It’s actually more intense imo at least the parts in the demo. There’s a lot of enemies at times and the guns don’t shoot as fast or reload plus you can’t move while you shoot like in all the other shooter games.
i kept running out of bullets and so had to stand on the bus for 5 minutes knifing people as the climbed up. bag head took a ton of bullets to put down. game is really fun in co-op, but i hope it has some elements of horror, its just action in the demo.
