Co-op in the RE5 demo is hella fun. I personally hope that the game has a lot of action-packed moments like this if the online co-op is going to stay this solid.
The demo is good, but i still cant stand the fact I cant move and shoot.

I played for about an hour with Colt Steele on co-op. He can be my co-op partner anytime (as long I can keep him from getting his head sawed off). Anyone notice that you can combo your secondary attack? We teamed up on the chainsaw boss from the second stage - Colt did a flip kick with Shiva and immediately followed with an uppercut with Chris.
And when possible - stun your enemy then take him from behind and snap his neck (another one of Chris’s secondary attacks) for an auto-kill.
I ran out of ammo too sometimes but that’s okay - I’m hoping there isn’t an overabundance of ammunition like in RE4. Makes the game a bit more thrilling to play.
Anyone else surprised when Chris’s helicopter buddy dropped the f-bomb during that cut scene?

Well they shouldn’t skimp you on the ammo either. RE4 did have ammo at the right time but you still had to careful in how you went about attacking enemies especially during Professional mode.
I almost came when I played the fucking demo. I haven’t even done the second level yet, but holy shit, I love this game. Resident Evil 5 is my first HOLY SHIT MUST BUY game of 2009. Does anyone know if there’s going to be a way to play as Sheva in single-player?
Like everyone else it takes to get back into the Resident Evil zone. Once you are though it’s awesome. I love moments when you think your back is safe and Tada! an infected negro is like “What’s up doc!”
I haven’t beaten the 2nd stage yet though. Chainsaw guy just murdered Sheva (she’s got a nice ass. I’m glad japanese developers are stepping up their game with ass modeling.) as I was going to corner him on the stairs. Lame.
My only gripe is trying to play this game… alone. The partner doesn’t seem to be as smart or skilled as the one in Gears but that’s also due to the nature of the game. RE has such strict rules.
Anyway it’s sad that this game is getting so much hate right now. People just need to remember the heritage of this series and change their expectations from full-on action at all times with easy combat to something more thoughtful and tense.
PS I’m gonna need an online partner for this when it comes out. Please, adopt a Furry Curry.
(Watched Degeneration today. Wow. It’s so much more better than all of the live-action RE films. I want another one. Capcom needs to look into doing this for other big name franchises like Devil May Cry.)

And I agree on the Degeneration part - it’s leauges ahead of that Hollywood crap that’s been shoveled out. It’s funny, Degeneration is basically a 90-minute cut scene and it’s way better than anything elde RE-lated to film.
Co-op is way sweet, I was playing it with Infini when the JP demo was out.
Can’t wait for some Co-op Superplay!

Playing on control type C is the way to go IMO.
Still, I wish you could use square for run and X to shoot/knife.
That seems to have been changed solely just to change something.
Demo is annoying trhough, it just doesnt tell you some vital shit.
Pressing the d-pad equips items without going through the menu. In the menu, pressing R1 immeiately equips something, without the popup menu. I assume its the same with similar buttons on 360.
Playing co-op is a blast, so long as you have a competent player with you. Then you’ll wreck shit. Tou can tell what poor bastards are struggling with the controls and the i-want-to-run-and-gears whiners are immediately. They’re the ones that die immediately when cornered.
Yeah so, the demo is dope. I’ll be online today trying to hook up some online matches. Is Mercenary mode confirmed in RE5?
