Oddly enough I’ve never had problems fighting it. I’m usually well stocked by the time I get to him.
I’ve killed him every time. You can tip over those O2 tanks in the rooms to freeze him and then just break him down with Broken Butterfly with a rocket thrown in to kill him.
oh i know how to kill him.
Im saying my first time i wasnt well equppid bc i didnt know that was about to happen
+my first play thru i didnt have the broken butterfly or a rocket.
Edit: And the ammo they had right b4 that fight was mostly for that shitty tmp (whichi did not have lol)
What did you spend your money on? Were you kind of careless with Ammo? I’ve gone through dry spells of Ammo myself. Maybe you just had it happen at a bad time.
Anyone remember the original RE4 which was intended to be like the older REs with some silent hill twist? It looks really awesome. I wonder what it would be like if that version was released instead. Capcom scraped it due to it being too paranormal and silent-hill like.
Have you guys seen the Verdugo fight glitch? Basically, you freeze him with the first O2 tanks and do a roundhouse kick, and it shatters him instantly. I’m not quite sure what the requirements are (other than an O2 tank and a Chuck Norris quality roundhouse) but I’ve seen it once before. I tried looking it up on Youtube but couldn’t find anything.
I just got done playing REZero, and I’m still not sure what it is that some people enjoy about the game? The only difficulty factor that game has is intense item management. There’s way too much backtracking for my taste. Zombies are hardly a threat and I still didn’t like the fact that 3/4 of the bosses in the game just large insects or mammals.
And oh my god, I’ve forgotten how terrible the dialogue and voice acting was in Rebecca/Billy’s pre-fight with the bad guy at the end of the game. Christ that was bad stuff.
Well i thought since the train was riding and crashed in the woods that it would make sense for the virus to effect the wildlife hence the animal bosses but i see what you mean.
That sounds pretty rad. Never seen it done before though it shouldn’t be a problem to find out.
I’ve played bits and pieces of 0, but never played much of it. I’ve heard about it’s notorious Item slots though. Just have to be careful.
Speaking of RE0, I wonder where Billy is. In the story they mentioned he was in Africa, and his entire Marine squadron got murked, and he almost took the fall for it. I wonder could those events in anyway be connected to what’s happening in RE5. I never heard of Umbrella doing testing in Africa so I don’t know about the T-Virus in Africa. There were the bases in Chicago, the Arklay Mountains/Mansion area, The Ashford prison island, and Antarctica. There was also testing for the G-Virus/Nemesis done in France IIRC. What about Africa.
It’s been a while since I played RE0, but one thing I remember off the top of my head is that it said leeches were the base for the T-virus, while C:V said it was ants. Also certain things about the timing of events and how quickly people were able to travel around didn’t line up well with RE2.
I’d need to play 0 again to fully refresh my memory.
Well, I just played it so basically there’s Dr. Marcus, Dr. Birkin and Wesker. Marcus discovered the T-Virus and it only able to retain its deadliness through the leeches and human subjects - something about the blood. Whatever they bite, they contract the disease and it goes on from their.
Under orders by Umbrella Corp. Birkin and Wesker kill Marcus and take the T-Virus for their own because Marcus was never taught how to share his research apparently. Birkin develops an even stronger strain through his research, the G-Virus, while Wesker goes off to get his combat data in the mansion (REMake). In RE:CV, Alexander and Alexia are able to make the T-Virus work through ants.
But I might be wrong somewhere in this. If anyone wants to fact check this, please do. I still find the story a bit convoluted and hard to piece together sometimes between all the games. I haven’t played RE:CV in years to refresh my memory.
After playing REZero however, I’ve decided to do something I’ve never though of doing before and that’s playing all the games consecutively. Why not? I have REZero, REMake, RE2, RE3, RE:CV and RE4 and no job.
I thought about Africa too but according to the scene played in REZero, their is nothing mentioned about Umbrella doing any research of any kind in Africa. But maybe that’s because Billy has no inkling of what Umbrella is at that time? He’s just a Marine on tour of duty after all.
Maybe it’s something Capcom hadn’t yet fully fleshed out yet (no pun intended) and they’ve decided to return to it in RE5? That would be really cool if they do. And maybe we’ll get a hint of what happened to Billy?
The only good thing about the item management in REZero is that you can drop shit anywhere instead of having to backtrack to a save point with a chest. And if you go to the map, it will tell you where everything you have dropped, is it.
It’s a great way of remembering what rooms you need to return to once you’ve navigated your way into the training facility and sewers.
I’m current starting REMake with the Chris and the Samurai Edge. I like this weapon because unlike other RE games, the SE doesn’t guarantee an auto-kill every time. Weapons like that make these games way too easy on replay. In fact, the game is calling to me right now…
I just remembered (died twice already) that when you start a new game with a save file on normal or hard mode, it automatically puts the grenade zombie in - and I hate that damn zombie. :xeye:
Oven Man in RE4 didn’t startle me because I expected something to happen. What did send chills up my spine was the eerie music that would play when Regenerators were near. And I didn’t know they could run when I first played the game through. I saw one shambling down a poorly lit cooridor towards me and I turn around and start casually walking away. Next thing I know I hear it breathing louder and quick turn around to see him jogging towards me.:crybaby:
I’ve blown all the limbs off once and seen it jump violently across the floor to reach me, and even them it still bites your ankles. But I’ve never seen a running Regenerator. They always shamble slowly through the hallways for me.
And yeah, that music is pretty tense when they appear.
Fuck it. I’m playing REMake without a save file. Just starting it off fresh. See you guys in a couple hours.
wolverine scared the fuck out of me because I didnt know wtf to do. died first time then I think diox here told me about shooting him in the back. random monks in the castle area scared me too. people say re4 isnt “scary” but it actually is first time around because you you are not loaded with ammo and upgraded weapons.
Regenerator didnt scare me at all. I pretty much knew there is something because the music gave it away. and I kinda knew about the second one around the corner too.
Oh heck yes you are loaded up with ammo in RE4. Even on the first playthrough I sold about as much ammo as I actually fired. RE4, while certainly fun, doesn’t have any of the apprehension or desperation of the earlier games.
On my first playthrough, I didn’t even know you could snipe the plagas on the Regenerators. I just shot them till they died, that’s how much ammo I had in this game. And the thing with Regenerators, they’re always like a mile away when you fight one.
