Resident Evil (Questions & Discussions) Thread

3 scared the dog shit out of me.

Random Nemesis moments FTL.

You should have seen how I thought I was safe when I walked into the door, and then not 2-3 seconds later, you hear a click, and it’s him flying through the door with a Rocket Launcher.

I’m a sucker for pop-up scares.

I’m hella worried thinking about how laggy Online will probably be.

Is there much lag in XBox Live or PS3’s network?

Snap i forgot about Oven man. That shit damn near had me out of my seat when i played it the first time.

heard they took out oven man in the german version.

i guess germany had its fair share of shoving people inside ovens

HAHA! Then he would be called Jewish Man, wouldn’t he?

“RRAHHHH! THERE’S EES NO SOAP IN HERE?!?”

yup. heard they removed most (not all) of the incendiary grenades too in the german version and replaced most of it with frag grenades.

REMake was probably everything they wanted the original to be. It had the right lighting, that claustrophobic feeling in some parts of the mansion, that fear of opening a door because you forgot if you set the zombie in the next room on fire:shake:. That game just had a feeling of suspense that they’ll probably never replicate again.

REZero felt really routine to me, it was fun as hell, but I just went through it like every other RE after RE2.

Other than Oven Man, any suspense in RE4 was nullified by the 3 varieties of shotguns and countless ammunition laying throughout the game. It’s still my favorite though.

:rofl::rofl:

tell me your just BSing around…thats just hilarious lol…

I still say, for a challenge don’t upgrade any guns and like beat the game without the shotgun or magnum. for me it’s more fun to only use a bolt action rifle and the red9

i miss jills sexy (although a bit cheezy) accent from the original resident evil.

the actor that plays jill in the original resident evil looks pretty damn fine too.

as for resident evil 4. blacktail handgun > red9 handgun

I said for those who wan ta challenge use red9…then again I always pick the red 9 over the blacktail as the red9 just is much more cooler and more power. I don’t need a speedy handgun, that is what the TMP is for.

by the same logic, i dont need a powerful handgun, thats what the broken butterfly is for.

fully upgraded red9 is straight up gangster…I think thats my favorite gun in re4 :smokin:

Who is this “Oven Man” you guys keep referring to? I don’t remember no oven man in RE4.

If TMP Ammo wasn’t so dime-a-dozen to the point where I could sell off extra for money, and the Magnum ammo was so rare that I only used the BB for Boss fights, I’d agree with you. But I do get what you are trying to say.

For all intent and purposes Red9>BlackTail IMO

Much more powerful, and the Speed that it shoots has not once effected me. I’ve never cared for how many bullets a Pistol clip can hold, so Blacktail really has no use for me. Blacktail was like a rich man’s Handgun. Red9 was like a Poor man’s broken butterfly. Don’t know about you, but given the choice and the fact that firing speed has never effected me Red9>Blacktail.

Red9’s only negative is that with the stock, it take up too much inventory space, but if you’re smart that won’t be much of a problem either.

At time’s, and I’d say often enough, unless you live in relative proximity to the person I’d say yes for Xbox 360.

I’ve gotten Lag on Soul Calibur 4, with just two people fighting.

With two people connected, and running around, and with all of the onscreen enemies there’s bound to be some serious lag at times.

Oven Man was on the island. One of the first rooms you go in IIRC when you begin exploring that facility.

He pops out of the Oven on fire, after you shoot him and examine the Oven Leon says something among the likes of “Wonder what he was doing in there…”

Blacktail was capable of more DPS than Red9. Despite the slightly lower damage per shot, it had a faster rate of fire, larger clip, and quicker reload speed, all of which in total made it capable of doing more damage per second. Since they hand out 9mm bullets like candy in RE4, who really cares about damage per shot in a sustained firefight. You don’t even have to make every shot count. Also the Red9 takes up double the inventory space when you include the stock.

Boss fights and Efficiency. And as I said before that would be the only knock against the Red9 that it takes up a lot of space for a handgun. Especially for the people who want to save money.

Here’s a guide I found

“oven” man did startle me.
One of the moments in RE4 which really had me shook was when Sadler sends that monster after you. Since i had limited ammo at the time (first play thru) I couldnt even kill him. I was panicking waiting for the damn elevator to come up as he slowly approached.
