Never played REmake so this is great news for me, definitely picking it up during a steam sale.

just be glad it isn’t resident evil 4, its almost on par with street fighter 2 in terms of versions and ports; I think it needs at least 3 more to get that status
I never beat RE1 with chris it was always jill because her item management was better, dem 2 slots…lol
RE1 with Chris was just stupidly more difficult than it was with Jill. I think the only upside to using Chris was the fact the he was just a tiny bit tankier and had a lighter on-hand. The lockpick was WAY more useful than the lighter ever was.
Was excited for this since I never got a chance to play REmake thanks to my vow to not buy a Nintendo system after N64 unless they stop with this kid focused bullshit (which they won’t).
This was before I saw the screens and realized this is just another lazy “remaster” where all they did was add a photoshop filter to all the textures.
Seriously, it still runs at 30 fps, 16:9 mode is just pan and scan, and they didn’t even bother rerendering the backgrounds in HD. It’s basically a quick and dirty port with the “remaster” label tacked on to get more $.
But it’s Capcom we’re talking about here, I shouldn’t have expected any more from them.
oh for sure chris campaign was indeed more difficult because you did more backtracking
REmake added defense items, some new areas and puzzles and some RE3 outfits,if it had RE3 dodge mechanic it would be too easy
id like to see how the xbone/ps4 ports look
