O.k how many people here can agree with me if the story from the game was made into the Live movie and “Alice” wasn’t included in it. Would it have been 1000x better then the shit we have now?

VERY good. There’s even a "true color " mod for directx9 mode where the colors are where they SHOULD be rather than weirdly muted. Shit is BEAUTIFUL.
I feel that no one wanted a actual Live Motion movie of what we’ve already know what should/has already happen. People actually wanted a separate story, BUT don’t rewrite what actually happen to the other stories just so you could “create your own”. Alice is coo’ but she was super honkey in 90% of the movies which made no since. I would’ve preferred Alice to been like the sister from Code Veronica ,which is what Alice is to some degree, and would’ve just been like a Nemesis of that story. Basically, what happen with Alice should not have had anything to do with what was already canon. Just kind of place her within the actual RC period a la RE Outbreak then progress her character into what could be canon around the time RE6 should take place. thus put her in RE6 to help stop Wesker for good (this time).
but seriously, lickers in the city? already?! zombie kids? no Barry? No Mr. X? No hunters? no leeches?! no William? no overgrown bees? no crows? no giant snakes? no trains? no bandersnatches?

No one fucking care about the story :bluu: What ever… Just watched Prince of Persia The sand of Time Movie with the wife. Now that was a good Movie adaptation from a video game. I loved the fact that they had a lot of references to the game like The dagger of Time, The Princess, pretty good fight scenes and THE DAM MAIN CHARACTER ACTUALLY BEING THE PRINCE! not some random women with powers foreshadowing the main Characters. I really liked the film I would recommend it a watch.
Ummm…dude, it’s a game based around ZOMBIES (and several other mutated creatures). At least the first 3 games were supposed to pay hommage to old George Romero films/B-movies, so I don’t know what else you were expecting from the games’ storyline? At the very least, the storyline in the RE games would hold your interest and compliment the gameplay, and that was fine with me.
Then again, I don’t know what your “standards” for a good storyline are. Are you still waiting on those “Citizen Kane” and “Casablanca” video game adaptations?

I had little problems with the first RE film, basically because it was trying to do its’ own stuff. It was basically telling a sidestory of the whole RE universe (which one could compare to RE Outbreak), and Anderson could have walked down that line, and everyone would have been OK with it.
Shit started going downhill when they decided to insert actual RE characters into the sequels, and not only that, but have a character that is entirely UNRELATED to the RE games just eclipse them all. It all comes to Afterlife, which basically (and shamelessly) just copy/pastes exact scenes from RE 5.
So…Anderson goes from doing his own vision in RE 1, to blatantly X-COPYing the video games in Afterlife.
If it would have just went down the old RE 1 road, I believe no one would have really complained.
the games have a solid government conspiracy tension to it coupled with an eastern attention to detail to the action/characters and their abilities.
western = loads of bark and slow and clumsy action
eastern = loads/little bark but with swift, critical and impressionable bite

RE5…I’ve always likened it kinda to a GoW clone.
Still an enjoyable game though, the DLC “Lost in Nightmares” has a RE1 feel to it.
Probably the only part of RE games I’ve jumped a mile since one of the guys comes at you from behind and if you’re already on co-op, chances are, neither of you are going to notice this before you’re slammed in the back of the head with an axe XD
Recently replayed RE4 and realised how much I missed the awesomeness of the deaths in that game.

If that shit combines all the maps and characters from re4 and 5 (ie, you can play any stage with any enemies, as any merc)…I MIGHT get this system. I’m gonna need to see a bigger line-up of fighters, though. That’s something pretty much guaranteed for the psp2, being for a more adult market, rather than women and kids. and I don’t want to get Ninten-D’OH!'ed again like I did with the n64 and gamecube: a couple good fighters and serious (not involving cartoony mascots) action, the remaining years in the system’s life being nothing but shovelware and kiddie crap. Look at the Wii…no good exclusive fighters except for Tvc. Everything else it got that was decent, I had it on another system already.

Shit and why isnt this coming out for consoles either? Claire motherfucking Redfield is gonna be in Mercanaries. Customizations sounds cool. Hopefully you can change outfits as well. I’d like that alot more than having 2-3 of the same characters with different weapon sets.
