Movie wasn’t bad at all actually, at least for what it was: an action flick using Resident Evil likeness and references. Which means it probably was the best out of all the movies (and I’m a HUGE critic when it comes to movies not staying faithful to source material) and it kept me thoroughly entertained for some reason. Shit made me go to Walmart at 2am and buy RE5Gold, no lie. So now I’m back playing that again. Made it to Chap 6 when old RE5 first dropped but never beat it before I sold it. I’m pretty much down for co-op help and whatever.
But anyway, Aftermath 3D had more references this time and the director obviously played the shit out of RE5. Like…really, goddamn. Also, stay a bit after the credits…
As much I want to see Alice depowered to being completely useless. I’m not paying for a ticket or a DVD for this trash. Was bad news the moment it was annouced.
movie wasnt bad actually. i would say the order now is, re2,re.a, 1, 3. with re2 and re.a being almost tied for first place, if not re.a taking first out of the 3.

hopefully someday there will be a reboot with a REAL re movie. preferably something like the first game. maybe first 3 game stories combined or something I dunno lol…
RE:D so far has been the only one I liked cuz it felt like RE. Increibly cheesy, funny, kind of gross and squicky but over all B Movie fun like the games.
THe live action movies are just fucking annoying. Nothing like watching Bad Ass Jill and Carlos get overshadowed by Mary Sue on a flying motorocycle. Fuck RE2.
Well in this movie Alice wasn’t a Mary Sue. Oh sure she was doing some badass stuff but she definitely got her share of getting her ass whooped especially by Wesker. I think thats why i enjoyed it more than the last 2 sequels. Everyone got equal time to be badass.
God you really liked that garbage movie that much, Just say you liked Milla, I really can’t stand her being the Main Character of the Movie if Chris and Jill were foreshadowing her then I would kinda be more interested in this movie. God I hate Paul Anderson the only thing good he made was Mortal Kombat The Movie.
wow that was…BAD. as shitty as the last one if not worst. only decent part was the huge dude with the axe. everything else can described with one word “meh”. I feel bad for people that never played any of the game and dont know anything about RE in general. all they are seeing is some douchebag with shades. they dont know the REAL albert weasker and never will!
Trust me man I felt it was alright movie and this is coming from me who felt Extinction was fucking horrible.
I came out of Afterlife feeling like i really didn’t waste my money. Again I enjoyed the aspect that Alice was human again so it made her vulnerable a little. Yeah she’s the main character but i’m not pissed off about it like alot of people are. The movie came off a little more focused this time around. Seriously, the Wesker we got in this movie was pretty good compared to what we got in Extinction.
If you think Afterlife was worse than Extinction, you might wanna go kill yourself right now.
It’s funny how people are quick to throw away the Movie RE’s for terrible story then go and defend the RE games on it. It’s just hilarious. What’s next, MGS fans calling out the Final Fantasy series for having long-ass cutscenes?

not gonna watch it since the sequels get gradually worse and worse. resident evil extinction was complete garbage and i dont think it can get any worse. don’t think it can get any better also. and fuck paul anderson for milking alice’s character.
resident evil 1 was good and they should have stopped there.
Never saw Apocalypse but RE1 was watchable (read:not good but wasn’t completely boring) and Extinction was by far one of the worst movies I’ve seen this decade which is sayign something lol. Definitely no interest in “afterlife”:tdown:
Might pick up RE5 one of these days and I’m sure I’l liek it more then most since I already know going in it’s not going to be as good as RE4 (or at least that’s what everyone on srk says.)
Resident Evil degeneration was a piece of shit too, I’m glad I won free tickets to it though because it was so bad the packed theater (all RE fans) were joking and talking about how bad it was during the movie lots of fun:rofl:
To be fair, there’s nothing scary about the games either, at least not the ones I played(first one, third one, fourth one, fifth one, whichever number Code: Veronica was).
Is the PC version of Resident Evil 5 any good? I was thinking of copping it on Steam.
I’m saying the game’s story is just as bad as the movie’s and I don’t see anyone dissing that. I don’t like the movie’s that much, but the only reason I played the games are because they’re fun…not because the story was good, because the story is shit. Even if the movie reproduced the story accurately to every little detail, the story isn’t any better, it’s still bad.
