5 is an alright game. The game was just an action game and went away from its horror roots to much.
RE4 and RE5 not being “Real REs” is the dumbest argument ever.
real re got old. move the fuck on people. I cant see another real re game actually selling. they can redo re2 and 3 and add more stuff tho. like the re remake. THOSE will sell. but re6 should be like 4-5. besides re5 isnt ALL action. its still scary here and there. great fucking game.

Wait…there’s another edition of re4 on ps2? What is this, something like the LE of DMC3? The box I have doesn’t mention Separate Ways. Mine looks like the very first release of re4.
if I remember correctly there is only one ps2 version and it comes with separate ways. you have to unlock it but I forgot how. origial gamecube version didnt SW.
The gamecube version of the game has better graphics and controls, but the PS2 has more content.
not to mention that separate ways wasn’t even all that long. it was probably about an hour to an hour and a half long
but playing as ada was pretty cool.

If this new story happens to include Chris and Jill fighting through the Spencer Estate and it just happens to be filled w/zombies, then I’d give great consideration on buying RE5 again. I traded in my copy of RE5 two months ago so I could get ODST and I don’t regret it. Will I have RE5 back in my collection again? Yeah, most likely when I find it used and for $20.00.
Agreed. RE4 is still one of the best damn games I’ve ever played. I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve beaten that game. $10.00 is a sweet price too. It will be one of the games I pick up when we get a Wii this X-Mas. I still haven’t played Seperate Ways and the Wii controls were great.
I don’t think it is. Aside from the change in controls and environment, RE5 was produced by a completely different person and while he tried to leave the game relatively unchanged from RE4, the game lost a lot of its connection with the fan base. So making that kind of judgment isn’t all that unrealistic, IMO.
Now people who bitch about not being able to walk/run while shooting is what irritates me.
Naw Its a pretty dumb argument. I mean people feel as though RE series should stay in the zombie territory but I feel the enemy evolving to where its at now with the Majini works for the series plotwise.

I personally would like to see them do a new Outbreak game. The concept of the original was great, but it played like ass. They tried to do way to much too soon. But now, that shit would make L4D look like Mario’s Time Machine.
Shit feels like the old ones to me. Except now its just a tension thing in the game, before it was scary/creepy and tens. Pretty boring game up till the end. Gets kinda cool near the end. Part 5 that is. I prefered the old slow moving zombies and I think they would fit in just fine now. Im not a big fan of the series but it doesnt seem like has changed in 10 years or however long its been since I played code veronica.
Imo the series is long overdue for a reimagining.
RE4’s engine with zombies and not Ganados or Manjini would be the best thing to happen.
Only if they can pump up the numbers, or massively limit the ammo cause that shit would be cake walk easy.
I want a REmake of two and three. I miss those games. They’re also the only two games I don’t own in the entire main series. I also need to play through REmake, I beat RE0, 2, 3, CV, 4 and 5. I’ve never beat OG RE1 or REmake yet and it’s starting to bug me.
