I’d really like to see RE 1-3 remade with modern sensibilities (E, aiming…saving, animation). I’m all for a new “scary” resident evil with zombies. Just limit the ammo, make item management strategic, make head shots vital, and no abuseable melee attacks…intelligent puzzles, exploration, oh and lots of unique ways to die.
Why is it Leon can’t just round house kick anybody? I mean, you can kick people who aren’t even stunned if they are close. You’d think kicking though 3 or 4 people would be harder than kicking a single person but hey, what do I know?
It’d also be interesting to see a RE with 2 ways to play the game, like a “survival” mode, where you die easily, there is a lot less light, items and enemies, and an “action” mode where you can gun down hordes of monsters and plunder piles of loot.

And as for this new RE5 update? I’ll pass. RE5 was ok. Definitley not worth paying another $60.00 for the same game with new cut scenes and whatever extra playable level or characters they want to include.
umm from the looks of it I don’t think its gonna be one of those 60 buck kinda of things. I see it going two ways: one it could be a DLC and two it could go like the Fallout Games and just release RE5 w/ the DLC included.
re1: director’s cut = full price
re2: dual shock version = full price
re4 with separate ways = full price
i certainly hope it’s not full price but knowing capcom’s track record i wouldn’t be surprised if it is. we all should know how much capcom likes to milk a franchise with small revisions i.e sf2, hf, ce, etc etc
Yeah, but in the world of DLC, I think they would know better. Hell, they did it with the multiplayer/Versus mode.
yeah I don’t remember RE4 w/ Seperate Ways being full price. In fact I think it was 30 bucks instead of the usual of 40 bucks for a new PS2 game.

And if it was going to be DLC, I think they would have announced that at the start. People today look more forwards to DLC to something they’ve already paid full price for than just another revision and having to shell out even more money for practically the same thing. That’s my opinion though…

I get what you’re saying but to me this isn’t on the level as say, Super Street Fighter IV. We got one trailer where you’re apparently gonna be busting through the mansion as Chris and Jill. Nothing really stood as having extra stuff added to the RE5 main story.
But I guess we have to see.
One should also consider that for at least RE4 on PS2 it was the PS2s first time with RE4 while this will be the PS3s second time with RE5. Makes me think they wont want to double dip so hard since most people own RE5 already.
damn i’m trippin. I actually didn’t cop that game till like a month after it was out. Plus the BX at the time had it for 30 bucks which is why i thought that was the standard price.
I bought Resident Evil 4 at a movie store that was going out of business for $10. Game was in great quality and it took me like three days to beat it. Better than 5 that’s for sure.
Im playing 5 now. Its ok. I havent played an RE game since back on the DC and this pretty much feels the same as I remember.
