Research: How many 'Current Gen.' Consoles do you own?

if my 360 didn’t die 2 years ago that woud be the only console i own, but alas it did so now i own a ps3 and i occasionally game on pc.

New consoles.
Ps3
Nintedno wii
Ds
3ds
Psp

Old consoles
Sega gensis
Sega saturn
Sega dream cast
Snes
N64
Gamecube
Ps2
Gba
Nes

I think I play my old consoles a lot more. I play my ds out of all my newer stuff

none.
still playing my original ps2.
and i sometimes play me jap ps2.
still the best system ever created.
over 4000 games bros

I literally just got done playing my PS2 before I logged on lol

I have all 3 current gen. Though I need to get my Wii repaired because it stopped reading disc over the summer. I bought a psp the day it came out but eventually broke that to. My DS XL is holding me over fine until I get a 3DS. I’m waiting for Kid Icarus. Or Kingdom Hearts. Which ever comes first.

Right now just 360 and PS3.

Play the 360 80% of the time, and the PS3 for fighters. I also buy non-fighting multiplats on 360, sometimes both if I really play it A LOT. Like I may buy Saint’s Row 3 on both, but if not, then DEFINITELY 360. Oddly enough still on my original 60GB PS3, and 8 1/2 360. (Half because gut swapped the last one)

Used to have:

Wii = When I worked at Gamestop I got one when the hype/hard to get monster was going. Hype was short lived. Gave to mother. Would only get one if I felt like modding it.

PSP = I get these when some game comes out that I really want to play thats not on systems, and I usually resell them with the quickness. PSP is just not fun to own for me. loading and battery life = meh.

DS = Love the system. Still have Bleach DS 2nd (import) and all the Castlevania games. I sold mine because it was a Gold Zelda Edition, and I dropped it, putting ugly scratches on it. May buy a 3DS since its the same price as a DSi, but it will need a 2D fighter, and 2D Castlevania first. Even if I wanted the play SFIV(which I dont) the edition on 3DS idnt up to date (AE)

PC = removed video card, cant play real games on it anymore. But Fallout 3 RENDERED in 1080p with max settings and mods = 937386539836x better than console.

I play my ps3 a lot. Mostly cause of bioshock and demons souls

Voted for PS3 and PC.
PS3 gets the majority of my NG fighting game love, namely AE, MvC3, T6.
PC gets everything else - FPS games, MAME, RTS.

Forgot to vote for the Wii because my brain forgot I had one until after I pressed the button to submit.

I see that the PC was picked a lot in the poll. I was wondering how many of those people actually have gaming rigs that can play just about any game vs. how many people have an office computer that can run something like World of Warcraft on the lowest settings? I bet more people have the office setup up and not an actual gaming rig.

I have a PS3, a Wii that I never use, and the original DS that I don’t really use either.

Only have a PS3, but I’ve probably played it for all of 50 hours, with 90% of that time just being on MGS4, which was the only reason I wanted the console anyway. I’ll dust it off for the PSN Peace Walker release, and whenever Rising comes out, and thats probably it. Maybe if 3sOE for PS3 wasn’t so wack I’d be playing it a bit more.

i have two ps3’s…one is jailbroken (with games from the nes, snes, genesis, cps 1 and 2, mame, gameboy, gba, etc.) and the other is not.
one is mainly used for retro games, to store pics and old tv shows/movies on and the other is used for current gaming.

oh and of course i have a pc.

I have the OG DS (red mario kart one) - I still play Oendan from time to time. Brain Age is still cool.

Sexbox 360 - VF5 online (the better VF5 in general) Treasure games, MW2, VO:OT, SHMUPS and fighters in general make this the best console.

Laptop: GGPO, but I haven’t updated and thus played in awhile.

Ipod4 touch - Angry Birds, KOF-i, SHMUPS

I only voted Sexbox and laptop since I don’t have 3DS. Tried the 3DS at the store and the 3d hurt my eyes and toning it down defeats the purpose. The DS, when I do play it, I play it at home. The 360 is the main console of choice, since I have just about every fighter on there, even if I have it on my laptop.

The PSVITA looks cool. I only recently (last night) started looking up stuff on it since my co-worker will talk about it. SUMIONI and LBP look awesome. The touch panel in the back is interesting. If anyone can explain the decision on that, it would be much appreciated.

Not sure if this has been asked already but…

Who doesn’t own a PC?

Thats why I asked what I asked on the last page. People picked PC a lot in the poll because sure, everyone has a PC these days. But how many of them are really used for gaming? And im not talking about just playing 1 game on it. Im talking about like me, I play everything on my PC.

a better question might be how many do you actually play?

Just PS3, never really needed anything else.

Just a XBOX360, for now. The PS2, SNES, Wii and Xbox one is collecting dust as we speak.

I own too much shit but current gen stuff would be a PS3, Wii and PSP. dust collecting joke goes here

I have a DS Lite too but I don’t know if that counts towards your research.

well I tried to specificilly ask that PC only check off if you actually play games on it…wether they be mporgs or RTS or FPS or puzzle games…do you have steam setup? Cause yeah virtually everyone has a PC.

I asked that as well. the first part is what’s in the home, the scond part is what do you give your time to, I have a Wii, but it hasn’t been on in like 6 months.

Ah ok. Yeah I feel if you have Steam set-up (which I do) then you are still gaming on PC even if you can’t rock Battlefied 3. Steam and indie developers making a profit from their work has revitalized the PC platform. If only Microsoft did a better job of handling indies they’d dominate the downloadable console game scene.
