"Removed!" - The Decapre Combo Thread

Not sure where I should put this and its possible its been said already, but target combo to throw combos when U1 hits as long as the mp of the target combo connects before the last hit of U1

Just did some more work on my Jump HP / Focus / Red Focus combo list
Added all of her cr. MP > cr. MK combos that do more damage than other options

Also re-organized it:
Easier links up top
Tighter links on the bottom
Ultras are highlighted, and are on the bottom of the easy and tight sections

All Jumping HP Combos can be done with Jumping HK, same damage & stun
All the tight cr. MP links can be done with cr. MK but the link is 1 frame instead of 2 frames, same damage and stun

Edit: Added stun info for all of the combos!
Then gonna do a list for j. LK cross-ups (mentioned this before but actually going to do it now)

the meter column would be much more useful with exact values of positive/negative gain.

What do you mean?

examples

j.hp, cr.mp, cr.mp xx hp psycho sting is

60(100%), 40(100%), 32(80%), 30(100% activation), 21(70%) = +183 net meter

j.hp, cr.mp, cr.mp xx hp psycho sting fadc air throw is

60(100%), 40(100%), 32(80%), 30(100% activation), 21(70%), -500(FADC), 24(60%) for -293 net meter

So no matter how you are looking at it the fadc extension doesn’t cost 2 bars. it costs either 293 meter, or 476 meter.

this gets more interesting when looking at combo variants that are less linear, hp hands especially because letting it finish is actually 100 meter unscaled, which actually makes RFC combos that don’t involve ultra usually less meter efficient than sting fadc on a pure meter to damage ratio especially on characters where you can hit 3 mediums into psycho sting on them.

This is actually something I’m working on mapping out this week so you shouldn’t have to worry about it, but it’s important to keep in mind.

edit: fixed math, i am tired.

i have never actually looked at meter gain this is pretty interesting. how much is 1 bar in meter points, 250?

yeah the entire super meter is 1000 points long.

Thx! I should really re-evaluate my meter usage. i waste a lot of meter on hitting cr MK xx hands xx super (even off a jump in i find myself using it, its only worth around 450 damage) when i could have been spending 1.17 meter and getting like 40 less damage and having nearly 3 bars. didnt realize how dumb i was being. need to really get my links better tho…

What is the recommended combo one should learn right out of the gate?

cr.LP > TC1 (close st.MP > st.HK) > air throw, pretty much. add cross-up j.LK before it because it has very low hitstun so you have to do it very deep and that takes some practice.

I think thats a bad combo to learn tbh as you are not always in cl.mp range after even close range cr.lp

cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.mp xx sting/res/hands is your bnb

Thank you both!

Using Jumping HP if your reactions are good enough to confirm the jump in hitting, you can cut out cl.hp the cr.medium and go straight into ex daggers. 502 Damage

Why not just j.hp u2 and save 4 bars?

The red focus cancel Window on hands is shit too, I am not convinced those are worth trying in a match.

RFC is easy to confirm off hands =\ you just need to identify which version you’re doing and that isn’t hard if your execution is decent.
Personally I don’t use RFC unless they are dead/close to stun/the reset off the crumple will kill (or close to kill) them. Otherwise I’ll save the 3 bars

shrug just optimizing the jumpin hands redfocus, sometimes you go ham and I can auto pilot this combo.
For me this is in prep for when they give us back Stinger into U2, a stinger at this end of this I saw a video doing near 600 dmg.
I think it’s good to learn all strings personally, even flashy ones.

Red focusing out of hands is so good because you have plenty of time to prepare yourself and decide if it is worth it.

yeah sorry im not saying other people shouldnt do it, i just shouldnt until ive practiced it more. my execution is shit, i missed a hands xx red focus xx ultra with honda in a tournament on the weekend, kissed $300 goodbye from dropping that combo. the sad part is it was the ultra that i messed up. you dont even need to dash or anything i just inputted it too early. you have like all day to input that.

http://youtu.be/ZPy9CHVD36k Dunno if anyone was away but if you tighten up your stinger input, you can still ex-groundpound ultra 2 :3

Just think of it like weight training. When they fix the charge times shit will be so ez
