"Removed!" - The Decapre Combo Thread

So I just spent the entire day in training mode, trying all these j. hp > cl. hp > cr. mk xx hands combos, and holy shit my hand is sore, took forever to even get semi-used to that link lol… anyways, updated the post with the new finds, next up is the same thing but with focus attacks… after that i’ll move on to other buttons :slight_smile:

Did people know this was possible? Doesn’t seem very viable because in my experience it’s corner only and you have to hit him as late as possible for you to recover in time to get RES in. Might not be universal either but I haven’t checked. I only uploaded it so maybe it can get some development from other people.

So, can someone explain to me why it isn’t possible to combo a ground pound into uppercut, FADC > Air Throw?

Is it something to do with how juggling in this game works? I’m kinda confused as to why this wouldn’t work.

Just because something CAN JUGGLE doesn’t mean it always does juggle. Each individual move has juggle potential/points and once you keep adding points to the juggle counter you can’t keep juggling.

basically think about what you’re asking, mp dp juggles off of another dp right? so if you hit a high dp on someone why can’t you just keep doing dps if they are in the corner?

Well I knew that, I’m just not sure how the air throw worked since it’s usable in combos. Just the same as any other jugglable move I suppose then?

Air throw has a grab hitbox and a normal attack hitbox unlike other air throws, which is why it’s usable in juggles. The attack hitbox even does less damage. Anyways, yes it works just like any other attack in juggles.

I landed j.hp, s.hp, c.mp xx hp hands xx rfadc, scramble, hp slam, ultra today. Mas sexy.

Just started learning Decapre she is pretty cool and aggressive but I’m having huge problems landing ultra 2 after her second target combo which is st.MP-st.HK. It’s just seems that i don’t have enough time to get the charge time together for the ultra 2 but in videos on youtube they almost do it instantly after they’ve done the target combo. I heard about this shortcut ( db-d-df-db-ub+kkk ) but it doesn’t seem to help with the charge time. If someone could explain me how to do this combo like he is explaining it to a complete retard i would be very grateful!

she got stealth nerfed yesterday

It’s really not that easy to do. You have to hold down-back immediately after hitting the mp, and try to maximize the delay between that and the hk, to get as much charge time in as possible… the fractions of a second will make all the difference

it was super easy. like literally the easiest ultra setup in the game. now it’s almost impossible.

Yea just saw that they added 10 frames startup to U2 and psycho stinger, WTF! This makes me so mad, the last thing Decapre needed was nerfs. TC > Ultra probably isn’t even worth attempting now, and this might hurt the ground n pound > psycho sting > u2 corner combos too… ugh, im pissed

Focus attack

Ground pound into U2 still works. That’s about it. U2 still has utility as a punish move though; now the focus will have to shift on focusing on more opportunities to use it as such.

Fortunately U1 is still fantastic in I’d say 80% of the matchups or so.

losing aa sting -> u2 is the most unfortunate loss imo
