I like my PS3 though! It wouldn’t be hard to get an xbox 360 for fairly cheap, and I’d probably only play fable 2 and ST:HDR on it.
EDIT: Wait, I don’t have a Point Of Sale 3, although I’ve heard its really good for business games.

I think I use it more for blu-ray movies :sad:
I don’t want to have to pay for the internet service either. Before anyone cracks off on that, HDR is Capcom/backbone’s little monster, not PSN’s.
I’ll probably add it to my HHS and Headbutt combos I throw in after things like a jump-in short kick, when the opponent is expecting an Ochio attempt and trying to counter. Although I’ll most likely save the Super one for when it’s guaranteed so I don’t waste it.
Honda is all about the overkill!

I’m working on that,I’ve always tried to avoid going for throws too often as they throw(pun intended)off my pacing a bit.I think of it like tiers:moves that are less likely to frazzle my stupid head come before ones that dont.You cant deny looking for an opening to throw distracts you a bit from reacting to whats in front of you.But there are plenty of times where I know a throw is plenty doable,and I make note for next time.I’m getting better I believe.

Anyway, if you need your ego stroked, okay…what I saw was decent Honda play versus a rather pattern-dependant Ryu. Truth be told, he should’ve beaten you two rounds to none…especially given that Ryu and Ken are Honda’s worst matchups. After he had you down to no life in the third round and he didn’t cr.:hk: XX :hp: Hadouken you after you did the :lp: Headbutt (or even cr.:hk: XX Fake Hadouken, throw!), I knew that Ryu wasn’t that good and I stopped watching. You probably ended up winning, huh? I won’t know because I’m probably not going to take the time to watch.
But, here’s what I’d like to see. How about you fight some people on this forum? I’d love to see how you fare against them…and I’m positive that you’d truly see just how much skill you have. Post that up in the stickied video thread when you do.
In the meantime, if you want to get my attention…if it’s really that necessary…you have two options.

I just got mine, playing Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Though there are quite a few titles I want. Anyway, Coth X - you should definitely get a 360 if you desire better competition in HDR. I was thinking of buying it for PS3 because of the superior d-pad, but then I realized that not too many known players play.
360: Mars, afrolegends, mavrick, thelo, kurropi, jiggly, jangara, tejyo, calipower, dsp, shari, etc…
I don’t think anyone on PSN can stack up to that.

no developers can code online for the PS3.
constant drops, slow downs, and sometimes you can’t even join match making lobbies(cod4, fat princess, SF4, and LBP come to mind and that’s definitely no where near close to the list of games that have serious online problems on the PS3).
I own both systems and the 360 wins in almost every aspect(except the whole not being fully HD and blu ray)

Yeah…WTF is that about? sometimes he seems un dizzy-able. Yesterday i hit a honda with bison’s 5 hit TOD and he barely flinched, then a j.MP straight after and still no dizzy??? Does a character with a defence like fatso really need that amount of resistance to stun??? Seems like overkill to me…

I know his is not the place for a 360/PS3 fanboy debate, and i’m no fanboy so i’ll keep this short, but the 360 has a way better online community and it’s much better supported and coded for than the PS3 is in terms of online experience overall.Most of the major cross platform games that support online have a way better online modes on the XBL service, presumably because microsoft charges for it annually and so they can put more resources into the infrastructure and see that it’s better supported and debugged for developers etc. Sure XBL costs you money every year and PSN is free, but you get what you pay for IMO, and i personally think it’s good value for the hundreds of hours i spend on it each year.
HDR is a case in point. Fantastic online on 360, awful on PS3, and who cares about the better PS3 controller? Most (not all, but most) of the serious players i know use some kind of custom hardware for SF anyways.As an unbiased console buyer, the 360 seems to make more sense on paper.Better games, better online modes, as many if not more hi quality exclusives than PS3, all of the cross platform big games, and even with the cash you pay for XBL it’s still cheaper than a midrange PS3.

possum was referring to how hard it is for Honda to dizzy other people in HDR as compared to ST. Since his dizzy power got reduced for his ochio and HHS, it really does make a difference.
Also I think Honda is one the characters that is hardest to stun. I read that somewhere…

Yep, that rings true to me for sure. He’s built like a brick shithouse. It feels much harder to get him dizzy than most other characters.Even with bison’s killer combos he can take serious damage. All the guaranteed stun combos i know are TOD’s on almost everyone else, but with honda you’re never sure…
PSN tends to be fine with anything else, its only on HDR that I have problems, with the new hitbox issues now cropping up, as well as ken teleporting through guile after a knee bash, the PS3 version is just bad programming. It didn’t get a beta test, and its like they took the xbox’s code and tried to port to PS3.
Psn HDR glitches, and PS3 HDR controller bug, is just WTF!
THEY WON’T EVEN DO ANYTHING FOR THE CUSTOMERS THAT PAID FOR THE FUCKING PRODUCT.
Capcom has nothing to do with releasing patches/bug fixes ect.
they make the patch(capcom) and its up to Sony/Microsoft to get it out there asap.
microsoft is usually pretty good when it comes to patches(if you havent noticed with any game that gets DLC, its usually 360, PC, then PS3 last).
and coth, prolly 4/5s of the online PS3 games are broken, not just HDR.
CAPCOM has stated they are not making another patch. My only problem with PSN has ever been with HDR.

On topic: So what is honda’s primary method for getting through shoto hados, primarily ken’s hado?
He typically has a few options. Neutral jump, neutral jump :hp:/:mk:, jump forward, jump forward :lk:, :mk:/:hk: Sumo Smash, or :lp: Headbutt.
However, at the right range all of these options can be punished. For Honda it’s a guessing game. If you neutral jump a Ken fireball from 3/4 screen or less Ken can just :hp: SRK. Ryu has to work a little more to punish stuff but most of the time Honda can just be punished with sweep, SRK or another fireball.
