You know, you may have heard this said about God, and you might have scoffed at it, but I think it might be true.
Think about this. Throughout our history people have been fighting, and killing over, their interpretations of who God is and what religious text is the right one and what the real rules are to get into paradise yada yada yada.
What this means, is that, if there is a God, we don’t understand them, and they won’t tell us anything to make it any clearer, leaving it to us to figure out what they want, and receiving either a major mood swing in our direction (Old Testament), or a damning punishment (New) if we get it wrong.
Going back to my question of why this creator won’t give us that clarity? I think it’s because they’re on their cell phones texting their friends about how the men on this planet are fighting for their eternal affection.
So…How do you guys feel about ghosts?
I know its a stretch from the Mythology thing but still.
Me personally I’d be scared to come across them. Seeing as how ghost stories are usually goes that some spirit decided to be moody and throw an object around. Or if sighted are depicted floating/flying with a transparent form that can past through objects but still able to manipulate them too.
Which means they could theoretically attack you and you cant do nothing to defend yourself other then:

-Religious symbols/ Faith

One thing that interests me is the Influence the Divine Comedy(Mostly due to Dante’s Inferno) has had on Christian ideology. Dante did a masterful job of spinning Greek and Roman mythos in with the idea of Christianity. This is also largely where the Christian idea of hell stems from, as their has to be some sort of punishment for falling out of line or the whole idea falls apart. Hell Vergil is his damn tour guide and resides in what is considered the least worst part of hell.

So what makes you guys smarter then? Lets take a look at the universe. We see that the sun is at the right distance away from our planet, our order/position in the universe for some reason allows systems such as the water cycle, oxygen cycle, and the ecosystem to opperate. Animals such as baby sea turtles know exactly where they should go the moment they are hatched, animals that just know by instinct the things they are supposed to do; other than that, we see that the universe’s laws and behaviors are readable (physics)… So why should we believe that the universe and it’s systems is a product of accident? Why is that a smarter conclusion?
