Since people talk mostly about politics in “The Current State of the World and US (updated first post)” thread and I couldn’t find an existing thread, I posted this one.

I’ll start it off. I always wondered if Lucifer and Satan are the same being or 2 different beings. In the old testament, apocrypha, and new testament, passages leads me to believe that they are 2 different characters. In other words, they are not the same. Satan always existed, kinda like Hades in Greek Mythology, then Lucifer got banished to Satan’s realm by God because of Lucifer’s protests and uprising against God.

A lot of games and fiction stem from Mythology and Religion. Look at Mortal Kombat. Shinnok can viewed as being Lucifer in the Mortal Kombat series. A fallen.

Satan isn’t Lucifer. Lucifer is a angel who Jews humans by tryi g to convince God that they are bit worthy.

This thread has no purpose, hence why its failing. If your thread would have been religion and mythology in gaming (a thread of thought of making a million times since i study religion and mythology a lot as a hobby), then we would have something to discuss and contribute too. Just discussing random shit about mythology and religion isnt gonna really get people going. At least not the people of srk.

Maybe rebrand the thread title, and edit your first post to something people can get into. An easy start could be discussing bayonetta, castlevania, or devil may cry’s religious, philosophical, and mythological influences. I could choose not to be a lazy dick, and try to start the conversation myself, but i kinda dont wanna contribute to a lazy thread, that did my thread idea a complete injustice, and now if i wanna make it, i’ll have to wait even longer until this thread leaves the memory of srk. lol

Also, Seth from SFIV and Sephiroth from FFVII can be viewed as Lucifer or Satan. M. Bison can be Satan as well.

Try to ignore ignorant people on this thread that wants to attack you for your beliefs. They are not worth your time. Also ignore the trolls/Atheist. They are pointless to deal with.
