A number of people who are here admittedly trolling have said in other threads that they don’t even own/play the game. And many of the others suggesting changes ironically want to change things to make it just like SF4.

Just fix infinites and make the timer slower/pause during supers. That’s it. No making it more like 3S or CvS2; if I wanted a game like that, I’d just play said game.
And keep Pandora shitty. Why buff it? I mean, do people actually want a comeback mechanic? Seriously?

Personally I would like to be able to cancel charge moves into other special moves. I doubt that’ll happen

honestly just fix the netcode for now. (sound and make the battles cancel faster, and make spectating more solid)
A bit more time to observe where the game is going is needed
-Timer should be way longer (I don’t think pausing the clock during supers would be enough really).
-improve throw startup and range.
-Increase blockstun on jump ins (If your jump in/cross up is blocked, the other guy can dp you really easily even if all you try to do is jab.).
-Improve anti airs vs cross up attempts.
-Make single hit dp x tag in less safe.
-matchmaking with players of “equal skill” should actually work.

Again, the rant thread is over 1100 posts deep, the love thread is in the 200’s. Not to mention the lack of any or many types of bravo or appreciation threads about the game.
I don’t know about you but that seems a bit one sided.
I simply started this thread due to being able to see the potential diamond buried in this current turd I’m playing now and seeing if there was any actual ways to realistically make it happen for the benefit of us all.

Counting posts/threads made is not an accurate way to gauge the communities response to the game, the community is full of stream monsters and retards who don’t even play fighting games anyway.
The thing that I look for when I want to see the communities response is how many good players are on board, I don’t give a shit if 10,000 people on here like you don’t like the game, if a handful of dudes that I know are legit are down with it that means at the very least some heavy hitters will show up for tourneys and make my experience with the game good.
I hardly ever run into time outs O.o
Still think freezing the clock is a great idea though. Also, the audio bug doesn’t bother me at all, but a ton of my friends despise it so yeah. The mechanics seem alright enough, nothing broken yet besides infinites that are doomed to be removed anyways.

FluffyM’s original post was both poignant and funny, which–like it or not–is a very refreshing change of pace in the ridiculously serious community of online fighting game hobbyists as realized in this thread. Please don’t discourage that in the future. It’s sorely needed.
Also, please note that this is a community discussion forum that will have no impact at all on the game’s future development (read: it’s entirely appropriate to crack jokes/not take this seriously). A poster could say they think the game would be saved by free hotdogs and soda on Saturday. You can’t complain about that b/c it’s what you asked for: opinions.
And do you have any idea how condescending and insulting this sounds: “I have seen some of your posts- you have a brain. A shame you did not use it constructively”? That’s just terrible. You’re online complaining about a video game. I can’t help but feel that this kind of insulting stuff is a bit out of place yet all to prevalent on SRK.
While I disagree with everything else you mentioned, this one isn’t too bad.
All I saw was:
Nerf jabs? Why the fuck? Jabs are almost always 4F or 5F startup in this game, with rare exceptions. If you have issues with people doing jab jab jump…learn to jump back?
Buff SRKs? Fuck that. ALL shotos still have at least one non-version of SRK that is invincible past startup - use them properly.

I can agree insults are out of place, but all the negativity is out of place as well, which is why people are asking for more constructive posts.
People who play this game come to the forums to look for info and advice to better their game as a community, and instead are getting a community of trolling and negativity and people trying to convince us that we shouldn’t like the game Look at the people most prevalent in this topic? Do you think any of the people who play the game want to come here to see any of that? The only people who want to see that kind of crap are the ones who DO NOT play the game… and that should not be acceptable!
I’ve been saying this a lot lately, but it’s messed up how much of that is being accepted lately… It’s making the community trashy and all the bad hype around the FGC seem to be true.
