Realistic changes that can save SFxT?

I don’t like the game either but goddamn that was so funny. It took a long time for anyone to say a word about it

i like the game, but id make these changes were i in charge:

crossrush combos wouldnt be so homogenous.
walk speed would be much faster
stages would be shorter
damage would be lowered on the beginning of combos and scaling would be less on the end of them
AA’s are fine, jump arcs are just less floaty. no change needed imho.
streetfighter 4 style jabs
more pushback on blockstrings OR take away the ridic hitbox on crossups.
crouchtech taken out. cant tech while blocking low. throws stay as they are. or crouchtech stays in and throws become same as there sf4 counterparts.

my problems with this game i think MOSTLY stem from the game being new. the only changes i think are paramount are to increase walkspeed and make the arenas smaller. if i had to choose either i would make the arenas smaller. fucking hate chasing people all over the screen.

To save is only being a new game
for me to play it even casualy is buffing AA normals unless you have a good special(Marduk/hugo/shoto) the meta is jab jab jump in

But seriously for a game like Marvel that stuff works, people complain about X-Factor but the game is so balls to the walls insane that it isn’t even a huge deal.

I think Pandora was a good idea, it’s just how they “train” people now with Ultra and X-Factor. They’re used to some last minute trick and SFxT just doesn’t have it. Pandora is only useful in a handful of situations and it’s not like X-Factor where there’s no penalty for not capitalizing on it, so people get upset when they suddenly die.

hmmm maybe what I would like to see as a change in this game

  • Timer goes by slower or make it 999 and go slightly faster
  • You can either roll backward or forward when knockdown
  • Rolls are throwable
  • There is normal jump and high jump for every characters
  • Damage deterioration increased so that we can’t do 400+ damage with only one character with standard damage output
  • Or increase health of everyone
  • Put the search lobby like in ssf4
  • Allow to search games with people using no gems
  • More pushback on some moves that characters have (Julia for example…)
  • Make the health bar start from yellow (0 damage taken) to darker yellow - orange - darker orange - red
  • Instead of making the characters glow when a gem activates make their icon glow/pulse/wave emitting the gem color
  • The X between the health bars is doesn’t need to be animated
  • Make the Gauge bigger or make it more visible when you get an EX bar
  • Put a Guard meter in the game
  • Give an option to disable quick combos
  • Not every counter done in the air makes the character in juggle state
  • Patch infinites/glitches bla bla bla
  • The fight starts when the “Fight!” completely disappears
  • Kill both opponent to win the match. Not just one
  • Pandora =
  • health back to 25-50%
  • meter build increased
  • meter refills automatically but very slowly
  • 50% more damage
  • gems can be activated again
  • character takes 25-50% more damage
  • cannot roll once knockdown
  • cannot be activated in a combo

I think you should keep playing the game until you find enough evidence to suggest that the pace of a match is clearly dictated by whoever’s jabbin n jumpin at any given time. I’ll argue that footsies is the dominant factor between 2 good players in this game. I’m not convinced that because something is “repetitive” in a fighting game, it cannot be countered or avoided. At least on day 12. Just give it time, that’s all I ask.

+Slower Clock
+Clock stops during super / pandora.
+Faster walk speed.
+Less advantage on standing jab.
+More scaling on chain combos starting with jabs.
+Pandora lasts longer / gives a better boost.

I don’t understand how people are asking for damage reduction lol. There’s already like 50% of all rounds ending in time outs.

What if Pandora activated all gems, giving each player a customized powerup mode?

That’s got more to do with cinematic supers and flashy throws. Combos can get pretty high-damage, arguably too much so.

They really need to fix Anti-Airs though, I’ve never seen Ken’s MP DP get beaten so much. Seriously, feel like almost everyones AA is ass (cept Hugo and Gief of course…)

This is how I was hoping the game would be and the gems would be when they were announced, something similar to CvS2’s -isms.

I remember when a couple weeks ago when all the “pros” were saying how this is the best game ever and said that everyone should go buy it. ROFL

those rounds ends up in time outs because the throws / supers / cross cancel-super-whatever in a footsie based game already uses 85 seconds of the game. So you actually play for real for 14 seconds
