Does a speech like this have to be a front page post to get people to stfu?
Ugh, I knew you’d go back to my other points as soon as I mentioned them. Like clockwork, everyone has an agenda to prove why people are wrong for having an opinion other than their own.
I feel my reasons for hating the game are completely valid. EX moves are not crucial to the “depth” of the gameplay, most of my suggestions had to do with making the game more like Alpha 2 since it already has an Alpha 2-esque meter. In case you don’t recall that game did not have EX moves and still had a large amount of depth, and neither did CVS2 for that matter. Supers are not “ridiculously subjective and minor”, they’re VERY important to the game unlike EX moves, I don’t understand how you can be so utterly backwards on this since you seem to know plenty about fighters. Supers to deal with different situations can change the entire dynamic of how a game is played, for example in SSF4 AE and 3S I always pick what I feel is the best ultra for any given matchup. They give me a variety of options that one super simply doesn’t. Having just one super would be okay if this had the simplicity of ST but it wasn’t designed with that in mind.
Zoning means more than just controlling space with fireballs, there are other ways to do zoning, such as with better normals or special attacks, and obviously if I’m talking about footsies in conjunction with zoning, I’m not just talking about fireball characters. All the characters in this game are ridiculously slow and footsies in comparison to other games is absolute trash. It, as well as all other fundamental FG mechanics, take a backseat to the focus on landing frame traps and excessively long combos. And yes, the hitstun and floatiness need complete revamping unless you think it’s good to have people land a fully-charged super for no meter after landing a counter hit in the air and sending you into a stupid feather-like fall of death.
All these things make for a game I don’t like. If you like it, more power to you, I don’t give a shit what you think because the bottom line to me is that I don’t like it, and as I said, I think I have valid reasons to not like it. I’m holding it up to my favorite fighting games of old and I don’t see the same amount of depth, variety or polish. There are indeed lots of things that are subjective, the importance of supers in a game like this not being one of them.

BIG THUG NUTZ
Uh… thanks
Stopped reading there. That’s exactly my point. You’re free to have your opinion on this game. Like it, don’t like it, whatever. You don’t like the way spending meter in this game works? Fine, don’t like it. That doesn’t make it somehow invalid. You don’t like frame traps? Fine, go play a mashier game. You don’t like only having one super? Ok, go play a game with multiple supers.
The point I was trying to make, that you ended up making for me, is that you’re free to have your opinion on whether or not you like the game, but to call it irredeemable and/or unplayable (for anyone) because of these little factors is childish and overreacting. Remember the part of my post where I said “PLAY SFXT ITS A GOOD GAME YOURE WRONG ABOUT YOUR OPINION”? No, in fact precisely what I said was that your points were subjective (with the exception of footsies and zoning existing, because they do exist in SFxT).
Yeah? Of course. What’s the point in continuing to play a game I don’t like? It’s not like the game is going to magically transform into a completely new game if I keep playing it, if there’s things about the fundamentals that I’m not okay with, then that will never change and I’ll always dislike the game. What you learn from starting a game lays the framework for what to expect from higher-level is like and I figured that’s something I didn’t like or want to deal with. Why does this piss you off? If I don’t like it, then I don’t like it. My knowledge may change about the game, but the game itself won’t. This is why I could stick to a game like third strike, because it was fun, engaging AND technical right from the start whereas this game is fraught with stupidity right from the start. Late beginner-level gameplay sets a precedent for what you’ll see later on.
It… doesn’t piss me off? My entire point was that you’re free to not play it. Just like my point before was that you’re free to have your opinion about the game, but it doesn’t make it an inherently bad game just because you don’t like it. How can you miss the point this much? Then again, you ARE the one who thought you had to block Akuma’s cr. mk high. OOPS AN AD HOMINEM SLIPPED
All I was saying is it’s a little unfair to complain about rolling when you don’t put any work into seeing what can be done to deal with it or stop it. You miss the point too much, and you don’t even play the game anymore, so I’m done. Have a good one.
Yes, I said I was free to have my opinion on the game, that was the summation of my post that you didn’t read, dipshit. It’s irredeemable TO ME. I always had that as my opinion, I never tried to express it as anything other than my own opinion. I love how you say that my post is childish and overreacting but THIS somehow isn’t?:
Yeah, great job moron. Deliberately being a hindrance to intelligent discourse somehow makes you smarter in this case? I could use your post as an example of how everyone likes this game is a complete asshole, but I won’t, I’ll just let yours stand by itself.
It clearly does, otherwise you wouldn’t be reacting in such a heated and almost frenzied way trying to get back at me for how “wrong” I am and comparing me to a child just for not liking the game (which again I have valid reasons for). You’re even blind to your own way of speaking, it’s ridiculous and this conversation is beyond pointless now.
What?
Better anti airs? Better comeback mechanic? Why change a game you don’t know how to play?
You guys make me lol. Learn to play before you ask for changes.
If the pros ain’t bitching, its prolly a good game.

The only changes SFxT could have realistically is:
[]Remove the infinite combos
[]Either increase the timer or have Supers and cross arts freeze the timer from the moment they begin until they end.
Yeah, like Marvel.
wait
The game mechanics are fine and don’t need to be changed, imho; all I want at this point is for Capcom to fix the sound glitch, and work on the netcode a bit, even though I don’t think it is horrible as others.
EDIT: Of course fix the infinites, as well.
Along with the fact that you stated my own point in your first sentence and I saw no point in furthering argument, this is precisely why I didn’t want to read your post, just in case you’re wondering. What character can even do this?
Oh, and I know you hate this game with a burning passion but please let’s not get mad.
No, the “pros” are saying how much this game is shit as they use infinite combos and pressure with standing light punch + ambiguous crossup.
Oh, they bitched about Marvel.
bro i think BIG THUG NUTZ are a hindrance to intelligent discourse
It’s happened to me before, you may want to check out the glitches in this video.

Then get them out of your mouth and you’ll be able to talk again
Some characters have no viable AA without meter, and instead are encouraged to do an air to air which is very risky. I don’t know why you’re questioning it as if it’s a stupid thing to request. It’s not a universal thing that needs buffed, but some of the Tekken characters definitely need to be stronger at it. None of my character lack one so I’m not complaining.
And no one is asking for a better comeback mechanic to Ultra Combo standards, just something to give Pandora a little more priority. But again, I don’t care. I’d rather have it shitty than risk it being too good.
