EDIT: OKAY I WAS WRONG ABOUT THIS ONE THING, SHUT THE FUCK UP.
You’re completely wrong. I just tried it in training mode, and blocked 100% low forwards and 100% low shorts at all ranges successfully. I have no idea what you’re talking about. Do you play on controller? There’s a controller glitch that makes it really hard to hit down-back and even if you are, it glitches out. Other than that, I have no clue what you could possibly referring to. For all intents and purposes (even though it uses different terminology) the game’s blocking system is like any other Street Fighter’s high/low game.
I’m sorry, I just tried to lighten the mood.
For what it’s worth, I agree they should do away with the Tekken way of high/mid/low, pretty stupid in this context.
Really don’t have any problems with AA’s as they are. Most every character has a good AA, and if they don’t, its because they get compensated for it in another area.
Its not so much that AA’s are bad, its that jump speeds are faster, especially with speed gems.
Yes I played on pad, I also used Hugo. It happened to me online, I’m positive I didn’t just imagine it.
Read the last half of my post. It has nothing to do with the game engine and it’s just a result of the shitty port job.
Having to block Akuma’s cr MK high wouldn’t even make the slightest bit of sense.
Alright then, nothing’s changed. My point still stands that there’s something like this that needs to be fixed.
Thank you
A gameplay engine problem is a lot different than a port problem (that doesn’t apply to both consoles, or people not using pads) that can be easily patched. You should probably fact check (or at least put some thought into what you’re actually saying) before you make a post.
Do people play this game before they rant?
Bring the diagonals back to the way ther were in SFIV.
Okay, I was wrong about the high/med/low blocking system, big fucking deal. I had every reason to believe it was a blocking system issue, there was no evidence or implication at all that it was a controller glitch, thus there could be no impetus to question it. That was not the only thing I complained about. Out of the millions of things wrong with this game that I could find, I was only incorrect about one? Whatever.
They do, theyre just incapable of learning or reasoning. Its why you can perfect people online with 10 AAed jump ins in a row
Wtf? You just tried to tell everyone that low forward is an overhead
People don’t even know that every character has a super jump (see the thread above) but they still want to change the game. Sounds legit.
You didnt realize that you werent crouching while you blocked? Thats a pretty big reason NOT to believe as you did.
As a Hugo player myself, I dont get what you were talking about with this game not having footsies or zoning. Thats 90% of the game for my Ryu/Hugo team
When did I say that? I WAS crouching.
Uh yeah, and I admitted I was wrong? Can’t you read?
Nobody read the quick tips from Dan.
Do you even understand the implications that having to block cr. forward high would have?
And as for your other points (not nearly millions, more like 3-4), not much needs to be said. Let’s look at them. You don’t like EX moves, something that’s crucial to the gameplay and depth of said gameplay. You don’t like how hitstun works, you don’t like something about the juggle state, and you want characters to have multiple supers. Most of those are so ridiculously subjective or minor that they’re not even worth disagreeing with. They hardly make for a game that is “beyond redemption.”
I intentionally left out that you wanted faster walk-speeds so that “footsies and zoning are possible.” I’ll just tell you right now, that if you’re playing a character like Hugo and you don’t think there’s footsies in the game, you’re doing something wrong. You can also take a look at the fact that Rolento is (at least currently seen as) top-tier for more evidence of footsies. As for zoning, the fact that the Japanese think Guile, Ryu, Dhalsim are all A or higher tier is fact enough that zoning does exist in this game.
But never mind that. You don’t like the hitstun so the game is just utter shit and beyond redemption.
EDIT: It’s been less than two weeks and you already used the word “played” in past tense, showing you didn’t put much time into the game. Now, I’m not going to tell you you have to play a game you don’t like playing for any amount of time, but that short amount of actual playtime(or effort) results in things like complaining about rolls.
I want Petshop back :(.
