Interesting idea.
In this case, I suggest you not let go of the last MK. You know, like press MK, immediately press s.HP while holding MK.
Hitting standing MP should be a worthy substition if s.HP is too slow.
Needs to be tested.
Interesting idea.

noā¦ you HAVE to let go of MK for 2nd tackleā¦ thatās the point.
If you charged right, you get tackle. If you charged wrong, you get NOTHING! no whiff MK, nothing. So you can do s.MP or HP instead.
Iāma try tommorrow.
Wait, your towards+mk might come out instead of a crush for several reasons including
a) you didnāt charge buffer properly (joystick error)
b) you either hit the button too early or too late (button error)
Regarding a)
If you didnāt charge buffer properly and hit the button on time, your towards+mk is still gonna come out. I donāt think thereās any save.
Regarding b)
Negative edge can give you negative effects with execution sometimes. Like the towards+mk coming out because you released the button. So the idea is not to release the button. Even if the crush doesnt come out, thats OK because you pressed MP or HP after, (you can release this time).
Interesting concept, but it sounds tricky. If you hold towards, youll get an overhead HP instead of a standing HP. To remedy this, you either need to go back to neutral after inputting the command for your final crush (in which case you might as well press and release MK instead) or you can hit forward MP after hitting (and holding) MK.
what? noā¦ Just answer me this then. When you button release MK, does standing MK come out? When you button release towards+MK, does a towards+MK come out? Basically, can you button release normals and command normals??
I didnāt think you couldā¦ but I KNOW you can button release special moves. The whole point Iām trying to get at here is that if ^^ that is right, you will make it IMPOSSIBLE to get a shitty whiff LK/MK if you fuck up the 2nd tackle.
Regarding Point a)This is the whole POINT of negative edging the 2nd tackleā¦ to not get whiff MK. Save!
I just donāt know if you can negative edge command normals or notā¦ I didnāt think you could, because you canāt in other SF games. (you think otherwise apparently.) I really have no ideaā¦ I donāt negative edge anything in 3rd Strike.
Itās very possible that I donāt know what the hell Iām talking about.
omg that would be awesome if thats possible, but when i tested it, i never got to hit s.hp, because of the timing with the two tackles, but i suck at getting two tackles, so prolly ask someone else
mp did work reliably though =)
ok yeahā¦ it worksā¦ kind of.
I also couldnāt do HP reliably, because of timing (like DooM said) and because of Towards+HP (like Blaze said). Iād go for tackle #2, and my option HP would just whiffā¦
Although, MP/Towards+MP works for meā¦ Yay! So now when people see me play they wonāt say āhaha! that scrub canāt do 2 tackles!ā but instead will say āuuh, that scrub should do a 2nd tackle instead of s.MPā.
Maybe this technique could be useful for other combos? I dunno. >shrugs<
EDIT: btw, I now know that you canāt negative edge normals or command normals in 3rd Strike.
Okay so i was watching the wanted vids by rxā¦and was wonderingā¦after the lp aegis he did a knee drop to push them in the cornerā¦i do this but the knee keeps hitting mid airā¦howād he do it? (i saw him do this against dudley so thatās who Iām training against)
You have to do a complete juggle series before trying the kneedrop, kneedrop unblockable. The juggle count has to reach 6 before you execute the kneedrop.
Also, the last tackle (the one that you cancel into the LP aegis) should hit them as close to the ground as possible, both for better results and because if theyāre too high sometimes
Hope that helps.
If youāre training against Dudley, try cHP, EX tackle, HK tackle, HK tackle into LP aegis. Thatās the easiest to execute imho if you want to try the double kneedrop unblockable.
(against ryu) When Iām in the corner I do down+fp, mk tackle into lp aegisā¦back up rh tackle, meaty rh kneedropā¦the only thing is by the time urien bounces off of the opponent,itās too late to connect the d fp. Should I try to do it faster? Or am I just plainly doing it incorrectly.
You should do it faster, or try MK kneedrop. It takes a while to understand the timing at the beginning.
what exactly is the purpose of the second mk tack anywaysā¦is it to build meter? solely do more damage? would i connect the aegis with the second tackle? because I saw rx do three tackles and no one seems to be talking about a third tackle.
Sorryā¦I donāt mean to annoy anybody i just have one more difficulty regarding an unblockableā¦in the corner after the canceled lp aegisā¦do i back up or dash back? Mk tackle? or rh tackleā¦because sumthin is up and I donāt think Iām doin this right it still doesnāt seem fast enough and on top of thatā¦doin the tackle as they fall TOO soon hits them up against the reflector and then Iām done.
Obviously depends on who youāre talking about.
If you havenāt noticed, EVERYONE has a character specific. Learning one unblockable and doing it to EVERYONE in the game is the one of the stupidest things Iāve ever seen, and you KNOW youāve seen it too.
yeah thatās trueā¦you know why? cuz I suck and I try to do the same thing on everybodyā¦i feel bad enough  iām learning here
ā¦Iām taking character specific requests on this thread, because my mind is blank on who to add to the first post.
Here, take my request first, please.
I havenāt found a midscreen unblockable that works on Remy, or Oro.
Remyās has been stated in the first post.
Oro later.
Cr fierce, short crush, fierce Aegis, dash back, rk vkd, edit: fierce hb, (optional cr short), cr fierce.
I have trouble doing a mid-screen unblockable in generalā¦it seems that they land in a different spot everytime, which makes it hard to calculate the partitioned headbutt or rh kneedrop to get past themā¦I have a feeling that my timing for the tackle (after the initial cr. fp) is off. Can someone help me with this or just tell me whether or not i should let them fall a bit before i tackle, or do it early, etc. Thanks.
