The HK version of the kneedrop works good for me also unless your doing the Q setup where u whiff mk kneedrop then do a walking hk kneedrop for the unblockable. No matter what the speed otherwise, hk kneedrop works just fine.
Anyways… I’ve seen ppl more and more jump in with fierce punch. I’ve been trying it a lot recently but can’t really understand the use of it. Sure it comes out faster then roundhouse but besides from that? Is there some good shit ive been missing out on it?
opera and emphy…can u take a look at the RX Wanted transcripts I did. I’m not 100% positive on them. The main thing that gave me some trouble is telling if it’s a short or forward Tackle. Thx in advance.
You need to check your roundhouse tackles first, much less the short/forward. Remember that roundhouse tackle has his RIGHT shoulder hitting, so his back is facing the screen. There are more, I just haven’t looked at it too hard.
Also, it’s not too practical to post THOSE combos.
i think we’ve seen evidence of this when SHONEN beat MESSATSOU YAROU in tokushima sbo3 quals…i’m here to advocate ugly nearly partitionless urien…
SHONEN is a BEAST
I was watching a tournament video that a friend of mine sent me, and it had a few things I hadn’t seen before in it. The usual partition unblockable and whatnot, but a small variation of one in this thread that I thought looked interesting.
Upon trying it, it seems to work however it’s a little slow, so I believe you can only get the kick for guard break to be the extent of it’s unblockableness. I’ve had some issues performing it on certain characters, so for now the only two I’ve tested it on are Ken & Ryu.
C. FP, MK Tackle xx Fierce Reflector, dash backwards, RK kneedrop, FP headbutt, F. MK for guard break.
It’s usefulness seems extremely limited, as the RK tackle/dash/headbutt works a lot better, but as I’m still in the process of trying to do that reliably, it’s still nice to have something else to fall back on.
