Real Urien Unblockables/combos

oh well, I really always used MK since when I started to learn the unblockables, I had more difficulties with the HK timing.
I’ll give it another try

(i still think RX is using MK in the wanted vids, where he likes to charge meter before doing the kneedrop)

The HK version of the kneedrop works good for me also unless your doing the Q setup where u whiff mk kneedrop then do a walking hk kneedrop for the unblockable. No matter what the speed otherwise, hk kneedrop works just fine.

I’ve also always done mk’s instead of hk’s. It has always felt like as if its more safe but i guess they both work fine. Apparently.

OK. So europeans use MK and americans use HK. Thread closed.

Why do so many people want this thread closed?

Anyway, I ALWAYS use rh. It’s just reliable and FOR SURE works. :karate:

I never want any urien-threads to be closed.

Anyways… I’ve seen ppl more and more jump in with fierce punch. I’ve been trying it a lot recently but can’t really understand the use of it. Sure it comes out faster then roundhouse but besides from that? Is there some good shit ive been missing out on it?

j. Fierce has a better priority in some instances. j. Roundhouse is best used from it’s max range.

opera and emphy…can u take a look at the RX Wanted transcripts I did. I’m not 100% positive on them. The main thing that gave me some trouble is telling if it’s a short or forward Tackle. Thx in advance.

You need to check your roundhouse tackles first, much less the short/forward. Remember that roundhouse tackle has his RIGHT shoulder hitting, so his back is facing the screen. There are more, I just haven’t looked at it too hard.

Also, it’s not too practical to post THOSE combos.

oh ok thx for rh tackle tip. Yeah, most of them aren’t practical, but i can figure out near 100% setups of the RX ones…which is what im gonna do next.

Does any1 know if Urien’s UOH can be used to overlapp the Aegis Reflector to create an unblockable situation?

…I don’t even know what to add anymore, so just post questions about character specifics and I’ll probably answer them through editing the first post.

OR
Give me critique/questions about SleepyWhale3s about Urien. :karate:

what do you think about UME f.mp when u have them in the slap house?

UGLY URIEN OWNS NICE URIEN

i think we’ve seen evidence of this when SHONEN beat MESSATSOU YAROU in tokushima sbo3 quals…i’m here to advocate ugly nearly partitionless urien…
SHONEN is a BEAST

Yarou beat Shonen.

although he did lose a match.

there is only one way to play urien… and that is RX/whale style.

Partitioned urien > all other uriens. You have more choices than other uriens.

Also, shonen lost in the end.

btw, what is the best corner-juggle for oro after … lets say a parry > c.fierce > ?

is it possible to forward-tackle him twice?

As we speak i go for forward-tackle > st.fierce or st. strong for reset.

forward tackle x 2 is not possible.

if you have meter, cancel into jab aegis and go for corner unblockable.

otherwise just st. fierce, or st. jab reset.

yeah thats usually what i do. i just want to find out quicker ways to keep the reflectors charged.

Btw, its not possible to groundxup oro with dash as he’s quickstanding right?

I was watching a tournament video that a friend of mine sent me, and it had a few things I hadn’t seen before in it. The usual partition unblockable and whatnot, but a small variation of one in this thread that I thought looked interesting.

Upon trying it, it seems to work however it’s a little slow, so I believe you can only get the kick for guard break to be the extent of it’s unblockableness. I’ve had some issues performing it on certain characters, so for now the only two I’ve tested it on are Ken & Ryu.

C. FP, MK Tackle xx Fierce Reflector, dash backwards, RK kneedrop, FP headbutt, F. MK for guard break.

It’s usefulness seems extremely limited, as the RK tackle/dash/headbutt works a lot better, but as I’m still in the process of trying to do that reliably, it’s still nice to have something else to fall back on.
