Real Urien Unblockables/combos

The headbutt is partitioned. Its kinda advanced, but you’ll get the hang of it

After first LK Tackle, when you do sphere, don’t press QCF + Jab then charge back for the whole thing, like you usually would. There is a technique. Kinda tricky, but you do the QCF + Jab, then instead of holding back as usual, you hold back for a second, then shift the charge to downback, so you ready the headbutt but don’t lose the tackle charge., get it?

Basically, during the sphere you’d start charging back for tackle? But, this way, instead of charging back for the whole sphere, you start charging back for a bit, then shift to downback, meaning you don’t overcharge the headbutt(partitions cannot be overcharged!) I advise you shift to downback near the end of the sphere animation, or in the middle, cause if you start charging downback too early in the sphere animation, you overcharge, which means no headbutt

cr.Fierce, LK Tackle, Jab sphere(charge back during start of animation then shift to downback in middle of animation or near the end), LK/MK Tackle, Headbutt(Instant)

Cheers dude…you seem to know alot about the specifics of partitions!

I’m gettin the TTH partition down well now, so this one shouldn’t be too bad.
Any other practical juggles that involve this technique?

this unblockable sounds cool, but i tried to do what he was explaining and i just cant figure out wtf he was talkin about.

anyone got a vid of this? ramza do you know whats goin on with this one?

okay lemme try to explain… i’ll make a vid when i get back home but that won’t be until aug 30th.

opponent in the corner… cr. hp, shoulder tackle, shoulder tackle, cancel (lp) aegis, (charge back while aegis is in start up) dash back (charge back while dashing back) let the stick go to neutral then do uoh (mp+mk)(charge back while doing uoh) then do shoulder tackle immediatly. they should hit the aegis (1 hit) then shoulder will connect (1hit) then 2 more hits from the aegis… they should come out of the corner and then you’ll be in the corner… dash out of the corner right next to them laying on the ground. do sphere cancel (lp) aegis. sphere is only for buffer purposes, it’s not going to hit anything. then headbutt over the lying character and then cr hk as they are getting up off the ground. you have to time the cr hk right so that they will go into the corner to end with a tth finisher. if you don’t time the cr hk right they will go over you and all you can get is a midscreen tackle… it’s not hard to spot for the miscalculation and switch your charge position so you can complete the midscreen tackle but it’s not hard to time the cr hk right once you realize it.

hope that was helpful… is there a certain part that you don’t understand?

i’m not sure how much meter you need exactly, i was using max2

Mainly on the character that can be BnB juggled with tackle sphere tackle

Maybe this has been taken up but:
When I try to do a midscreen unlblockable against lets say Dudley, everytime I try to do a dash tackle after the tackle+aegis it doesnt come out. But if I do a neutral aegis without the tackle it works just fine. Is there any reason why this happens, does it have something to do with the tackle+aegis input that fucks up the partitioning?

wow very enlighting… i think im gona pick up urien again… thnx emphy

a video of that would be great

you still gonna make a vid with that combo?

this is a quick urien ub that works when near the corner, unlike the headbutt one(which doesnt work near corner) so this is an alternative
Dont bother with the chun li one, i know it has been done a million times.

And for all of you who will say this is old, dont. cause this forum has helped me learn shit and there is no say anywhere on here of this. so this will def. help someone.

Edit: am not saying i made this UB. I saw it before but it took me a while to figure it out.

What’s the combo input to continually bounce standing characters off of the Aegis?

When doing the dash, s.MP x HK tackle, dash twice unblockable on Alex/Necro, what’s the recommended guard break? I never have time to do anything other than a third dash then plain c.HP. It’s as if the tackle part of the initial combo eats up one or two more hits of the aegis compared to other unblockables, so I can’t get a more thorough guard break. Is this normal?

Can you provide a vid at all of that happening? Not really sure what you’re referring to unless it’s something obvious I’m forgetting.

See, this is why I’ve never understood why it’s somehow necessary to do s. mp -> hk tackle against Alex and Necro. I’ve never understood the purpose of it. Is it for extra free damage? Is it simply to assist in getting you the partition correctly? I’ve always been able to simply dash tackle against them, and I just don’t get why you add the s. mp.

If it is for one of the reasons I said, or maybe something else, the only viable thing I’ve been able to find that you could do without messing up the timing and/or your ability to follow up the Aegis jam with a c. fierce is too simply dash twice, then do a s. short, wait for a SPLIT second, then c. fierce. F + forward kick will cause the Aegis to disappear to quickly for you to be able to follow up with a c. fierce, assuming you did do the s. mp -> hk tackle.

On Alex I guard break high with dash, dash, uoh, c.hp and low with dash, dash, 2 steps, c.lk, c.hp. You can guard break with f.mk but if ur timing is off by a little, u won’t get the c.hp. I believe it’s dash, dash, pause, f.mk.

Ping Pong combos: The combo depends on the character and the number of hits they initially take from the Aegis Reflector (either 1 or 2 usually). That number depends on how u knocked them down and when u activated Aegis. I have a list of combos written down, but I left it in Michigan. Here are some general ones I remember off the top of my head.

c.lk, mp, mp, mp, lpx2, c.hp
Shotos, Urien

c.lk, mp, mp, lpx2, c.hp
Alex, Dudley
These characters tend to take 2 hits from Aegis when waking up, so 1 less mp is used than the shoto version.

c.lk, mp, mp, c.lpx2, c.hp
Chun Li
This is assuming she takes 2 hits from the Aegis, which she usually does.

c.lk, c.mk, c.lk, c.mk, c.lpx2, c.hp
Makoto

With shotos u can opt to do c.lk, mp, mp, lpx2, c.hp, walk back ~2 steps, hp ( ), lp ( ), mk tackle. It does a little bit more damage. I am sure this principle can be applied to other characters, but I haven’t messed around with it.

the fireball juggle works on chun and im pretty sure makoto as well, although i use HK tackle.

Fire- Thanks.

Does “cr hp, lk tackle xx hp aegis(2 hits), dash partition, rh tackle under the character”

Work for Necro, Hugo, Alex, and anyone else where you might use the “mp, partition tackle under”?

Cause I know it works amazingly well against Dudley and it’s probably the most solid in terms of time to setup another hit. Only downside is the lack of a hitting tackle or I’d use it on Shoto’s too.

That setup will work on Dudley, Elena, Twelve, Remy, Q, Necro, and Alex. On Hugo you’ll need a pause before the tackle, with something like a whiffed c.lp or c.lk. On Q if u don’t meaty the guard break perfectly, he’ll get pushed out of the unblockable with just a parry.

uhmm i cant do the TTH combo…I cant do the 2nd tackle… help??

There are like 500 posts on this topic. Just use the search tool next time. : )
Short answer: you must do the 1st tackle as early as possible. Practice doing c.hp, hk tackle because the timing for that is strict. If ur hitting hk tackle consistently, you should be able to learn TTH w/o much trouble.
