What is the trick to do the headbutt at the end of the corner juggles - cr.hk, lk tackle, lp sphere, tackle, headbutt against Chun, Elena, Makoto, Necro, 12?
I can do charge buffering and charge partitioning, I also can do tackle tackle headbutt against shotos and the headbutt comes out instant because some sort of charge partitioning I believe. But when I do cr.hp, lk tackle, sphere, charge while doing the sphere, then do ->, <- + K for the tackle, I cant seem to get the headbutt out in time.
Also should I use mk or lk for the second tackle?
For the tackle sphere tackle combos use lk strength for the 2nd tackle. To do the headbutt finisherā¦
after the sphere:
charge back for the 2nd tackle
move from back to downback
do forward plus lk to do the 2nd tackle
then charge downback until the tackle finishes
do up plus mp for the headbutt to come out
You may want to change the strength of the headbutt depending on the character.
TACKLE xx EX AEGIS COMBOS
- Tackle xx EX AEGIS > (c.lp or c.lk or s.mp) x hk tackle works on everyone I think.
On Akuma, Dudley, Hugo, Q, Remy, and Urien you can do:
2. Tackle xx EX AEGIS > (c.lp or c.lk or s.mp) x EX headbutt
The follow ups are character and position specific, naturally. Iāll list what I have so far.
Akuma: hk tackle x2, mp headbutt
Akuma far: lk tackle (crosses up), lk tackle, s.j. hp
Dudley not too far from the corner: hk tackle x2, mp headbutt
Dudley far: lk tackle (crosses up), dash back, hp headbutt, dash, high/low parry trap
Hugo: hk tackle, mk tackle
Hugo far: mp fireball, mk tackle
Q: hk tackle x2
Q far: wait, hk tackle, mk tackle
Remy: hk tackle, mk tackle, mp headbutt
Remy far: mk tackle (crosses up), mk tackle
Urien: hk tackle x2, mp headbutt
Urien far: mp fireball, hk tackle
Some setups may be worthwhile, and others not. Youāll need about 1 1/4 meter to go for the setup. If the tackleās blocked or parried, you can do something else such as a high low mixup.
EDIT: Vid of the setups I consider worthwhile.
I saw this on Kurodaās URIEN DVD. Nice.
Thanks. Feel free to talk about anything unique or interesting that Kuroda does. I still havenāt seen Kurodaās Urien and Iām sure others are curious about his play too.
Also, small update to my previous post.
any tips on doing the necro midscreen unblockable/
elbow, lktackle hp super, dash forward rh tackle under?
i was watching an rx video, and he did a st mp before the tackle to get under him. am i supposed to be doing that?
either works
so this is what im doing.
elbow, lk tackle xx fierce aegis(hold downback), dash forward(hold downback), f+rh, dash dash.
the last roudnhlosue tackle never comes out. maybe i can just hold back instead of downback to make it a bit easier?
yes try holding just back(i mean either works).
also remember not to hold back too long on your fist charge. you want half a charge. so dont start charging as soon as aegis comes out, but wait a lil bit, then charge, then dash forward and finish the charge into the tackle.
Begin charging after Urien says the āAeā and before he says the āGisā in Aegis Reflector.
i didnt even know u could over charge⦠dayum
Very nice. Some ones I havenāt seen before.
Thank you kindly, sir.
:china:
Iām liking the far Akuma setup right now, as one can red parry a RH tatsu and go straight into RH tackle. It leads to 60-70% damage that cannot be teleported or parried out of. Now if only I could red parry RH tatsu consistently in a matchā¦
I didnāt think jab could combo into ex headbutt. I always do st. mp or elbow into it.
Yea, fortunately it works in the EX Aegis combos because thereās a hit from the reflector between the jab and EX headbutt. For the same reason Urien can do tackle xx EX Aegis > c.lp x hk tackle even though normally c.lp x hk tackle would never combo.
What are some other aegis shenanigans outside of the unblockable? Other than the tackle, EX aegis combos listed on this page, Iāve also seen RX do the following setup:
c.hp (1 hit), lp fireball, xx hp aegis, c.hk (if opponent gets swept, they bounce off the aegis for one hit), j.lp reset, dash behind, f.hp
Okay, maybe not. How bout another question:
I can do dash tackle setup pretty consistently against Dudley now, but for others like Hugo and Alex I hit them rather than go under. Any timing tips?
Against Hugo, wait a bit after the dash, then rh tackle
Against Alex and Necro, dash up stand strong xx rh tackle
Midscreen and corner unblockable setups arenāt 100% reliable. I mean, they are not combos, but unblockable.
Midscreen dash headbutt setup on shotos
If you guard break with f.mk, rival can parry low-high-low and throw you.
This setup is also blockable ā I have been blocked, but only once.
Midscreen dash tackle setup on DUDLEY
If you guard break with f.mk, rival can parry low and get knocked out.
Not sure about other characters.
Midscreen kneedrop headbutt setup on twins
If you guard break with c.lk, rival can parry low and throw you.
Kneedrop dash headbutt setup is even worse IMO.
After testing, I would say that this is the best midscreen unblockable setup on YUN, YANG, IBUKI and ORO (unstable on him).
I use roundhouse kneedrop, then immediately a mp headbutt.
Its only drawback is the cost of meter.
