i think u’re just slow. it’s harder than it seems, each 0.00001s counts; and be sure to use MP headbutt
i Just got a question why do ppl you this supposed unblockable on yun find this one more useful because as the one ramza pointed out it is limited to what part of screen urien is at dunno jus my thoughts
I’m having some trouble connecting the aegis after double corner tackles. Am I supposed to: back>forward>back>mk>back qcf-rolled into a lk/mk tackle>qcf punch? it just feels like with the time it takes to roll out the first qcf, it’s already too late to connect the second tackle. Tips, suggestions?
Those unblockables are both completely useful and practical but I prefer the 1st. Many pros use that and its used more. I use it more and its safer IMO
@ suleman
Basically, you do a HCF + kick for the 2nd tackle if your buffering from the back direction. The a QCF + p for aegis. If your buffering the 2nd tackle from downback(easier for a cancel), you wud go from downback to toward anyway, and this counts as the first QCF for the Aegis. Whichever one you find easiest
See for the first unblockable Da Colonel posted, why do u dash headbutt to get over yun/yang? I always just use a headbutt.
yo SiMan these reason why they do the dash i dunno as for one thing its not even an unblockable more of a mixup but a very easy mixup to get out of jus parry the overhead or throw urien i commend you on using the proper unblockable my man
Good question. I think the main reason that pros don’t really use the latter of the two is because of the potential for your opponent to quick-stand. Since they never actually touch the Reflector in the second one, they’re still allowed to quick-stand. True, in the second one you have the “ping-pong” mix up, and in the first one it takes a long time to get them to the Reflector. However, I think people still prefer the guarantee of their opponent not being able to roll out. Just my opinion, I could be wrong. I, personally, like the second one a little better for its ease of use, but I’m learning the first one, just to be safe. I figure, “Hey. You can never know too many Urien unblockables, right?” lol
What midscreen UB’s do you guys do against Oro and Ibuki? I can do dash headbutt and dash tackle about 95% of the time now against the other cast.
The first midscreen in Da Colonel’s recent post is what I’m working on against twins. Although, for whatever reason, I’m having trouble getting the kneedrop at the start.
Actually, the same midscreen that you use on the twins can alson be used on both Oro and Ibuki.
cr. FP => RK Tackle => FP Reflector => dash back while charging down => RK Kneedrop while charging down => dash forward once, charge partition MP Headbutt
True, this is a tricky combo to use. However, it seems to be the most reliable in my experience.
hey all i though id jus check whats been happenin unblockable style,
first thing i think that i should mention the first ‘unblockable’ in fact should not be considered an unblockable i,e guard is not broken infact i have some of Rxs older videos from 2003 he used the true twin unblockable back then http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=hT21KqABpys refer to the dash back cr hp unblockable,
which is infact the best option to use due to gaurd beein broken no partition required if u have difficulty with the others an its more likely to get you the desired result( i.e makin the bitch cry)
o an for the ibuki unblockable i believe this is the one which should be used http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=f1XaC__G5Kk&feature=related
o an aegis neglector i totally agree with you can never know too many unlockables
P.s hope i was of some help
dumb unblock i discovered a while ago, its incredibly useless unless done at a specific place near the corner (think like 1/5th of the entire game screen)
vs yun/yang: neutral throw, immediate lp aegis, as they tech roll, tackle into them (this will cross over). this works midscreen, but they can do stuff like 123 geneijin out of it because they aren’t forced into the aegis unless near cornered.
its SUPER gimmicky, but maybe it will work once or twice :3
in the same note: theres a 100% stun setup ive been using seldomly: do c.HP, EX Headbutt, MP Headbutt, dash crossover (yun/yang specific again lol…), c.HP EX Headbutt, MP Headbutt. This does not work off an unblockable because the multiple aegis hits will scale the stun a LOT.
Midscreen Cr.fierce, lk tackle xx fp aegis, hk tackle, hk knee drop to crossover, immediate hk tackle back into aegis
I don’t know if this has been asked, but i was wondering if this last part can be useful for anything?
Is the last part even possible? Anyway, Colonel, I have to disagree with you on the Twins Midscreen UB. Dash back fierce setup is just stupidly easy to parry out of and I used to use it and 9/10 my opponent got out of it. I use the one that Aegis Neglector posted.
cr.Fierce, Tackle xx Fierce Aegis, Dash back cr.MK, immediate roundhouse kneedrop(partition, and the sooner you do it, the better), dash, mp headbutt(partition), then UOH, dash into aegis, repeat. My success rate of breaing guard misscreen went up by a fuckton, peeps fall for it a lot, and its very useful
Although the Ibuki UB you posted is what I use, best one for her
It’s possible, a trick I learned using Q.
If you do that, Q wont go to the correct side of the Aegis. It is possible to do what you just said, but when you tackle him back into the Aegis, it wont trap him, the wrong side of the Aegis is facing Q
Greetings all,
I had a question concerning this unblockable setup posted by emphy one the first page:
I am having trouble getting the dash under tackle part and I can dash headbut fine on other characters and I am not sure if I am messing up my charge or if I am doing somethign wrong. I can do the dash tackle fine with no aegis out but when i cancel into ageis and dash all i get is st. hk. Is there any tricks or and sound cues or what are the exact charge posistions on teh stick might help. Also is this setup key for these individuals or do others work? Can hugo also be added to this list of characters? Thanks in advance!
the #1 problem i had with that is you have to go to back after the dash REALLY REALLY fast, it may seem like the timing for going to back then forward after the dash is right, but you have to realize that it takes a bit more time going forward to back than it does forward to down, and you may have to adjust it so you do the forward back forward faster.
When I first started Urien and partitioning I could do the dash headbutt, but couldn’t dash tackle, same as you. My problem was that my hands were pre-configured to the dash then charge down timing, so when I tried the dash then charge back it wouldn’t work, and my problem was that I didn’t start the charge early enough during the dash. You have to charge back immediately after the dash, and then continue to hold it, then tackle. Dunno if this helps, but this was my problem
Well like Emphy said I used to start when Urien said Gis early on in the “Aegis Reflector”, but now I’m experienced enough to do it by sheer timing, just get used to using sound then see can you do it without and then you will be doing it in no time
The dash tackle setup works on everybody as far as I know, and its compulsory for Necro, Alex, Dudley, Remy and Hugo to a certain extent. You can dash and use MP xx Roundhouse tackle on Necro and Alex. Timing is harder on Dudley as Emphy said. Like I said, it works on everyone but no one is going to do dash tackle on Shotos. Just use the dash tackle where it is compulsory or you will make more work for yourself in the long run
:woot:
i was just messing with urien… but here’s a scrub combo.
(corner) cr hp, shoulder, shoulder xx aegis, dash back, uoh *reset, shoulder (4hits w/ aegis), dash foward, sphere xx aegis, headbutt, cr hk (unblockable), shoulder, shoulder, headbutt.
if you time cr hk right they stay in the corner.
I’ve seen emphy (the master!) do in the SBO quals vs Ken I in the corner…
cr.HP, LK tackle, LP sphere, LK tackle, headbutt
What strength is the headbutt?
I’ve tried it with LP headbutt, and find i need to buffer the charge really well, and my success rate ain’t too good. In the vid it looks to me like a MP headbutt, but i might be wrong… but if it is, how the hell do you do it?
