so i was messing around just now practicing the twins unblockable and some how i did headbutt,shoulder
idk if it would work in a real match situation but it looked dope at least. problem is i have no idea how i did it i did c.fierce,short shoulder,fierce aegis dash back c.rh,rh kneedrop,fierce headbutt and as soon as i landed on the other side mk shoulder came out instead f.mk anyone know how this works?
I think that while you were doing the kneedrop and the headbutt you were charging back, and after the headbutt, when you switched sides, and pressed towards, it was detected by the game as a tackle. I mean, your charge was saved when you switched sides, and after you pressed towards a tackle should come.
Itās hard to explain, but sometimes you can see it happen, by example, when somebody jumps over you while you were pressing back and try to throw instantly and you get a tackle. Weird things with charges.
I have a question regarding the midscreen unblockable, specifically about the dash then headbutt:
Why is it necessary to charge DB during the super freeze? Canāt I just charge down during the tackle, dash+charge and headbutt?

You did headbutt over the person and then shoulder? LOL sorry true_tech, its not that practical or very useful. Its also pretty easy to do. Only instance where it be dope to do is if Urien was locked in corner, did headbutt over and shoulder into aegis. Anyway, most of the time that shit just gets you killed cause people throw you out of the shoulder.

That depends on if you want to win w/no meter or lose with meter unused. It comes down to opportunities and possibilities. The loss of meter for the EX Headbutt will be compensated by the meter gained from the hits landed off the unblockable. Sure you might do more damage UNLESS they escape the attempt that conserves meter or maybe not. If youāll notice there has been a strong uprising of unblockable escape tactics. There is an amazing escape in RanBat 2.3 by SexTaro where he parried the unblockable into a grab to totally escape the situation. While this is rare, I beleive that as the popularity of Urien rises so will the ability of players to escape such tactics. Use what works best for the situation.

Jinrai is a noob. You can do cr. fp after with the twins unblockable on oro. I do it to thyallmighty all the time.

i think that you can do cr.fierce, short tackle, mp fireball, RH tackle with Q and Necro in the corner right? iām not sure if everyone knows that.
last thingā¦need some help with that double mk shoulder. is it different for each character or is there a range? i just need tips in general. the only char iāve done it on is Q. The rest of the time, I can get the tackle out but it ALWAYS whiffs.
oh yeah True Techā¦in your combo video, how can the midscreen be unblockable if you didnāt press any normal after dash, dash? all i saw was that you dashed to Ryu but you didnāt do f + mk. that shouldnāt be unblockable right?
BTW Ted a lot of ppl escape from midscreen unblockablesā¦itās not new to parry the aegis and then throw. works well with Ken but I donāt think Urien can do it right? even if he threw he would get hit by Aegis. But what about neutral throw? would you stay invincible until the throw is over? oh and if you donāt know, Akuma can teleport out of the midscreenā¦ghey.
you probably just fucked up. Iāve been practicing the midscreen unblockable for about 3 hours and like 1/2 the time this happens to me. Just focus on pushing straight up on the stick instead of lazily off to the side and getting a QCF motion in the process.
What pisses me off the most is the fact that I probably charged correctly and could have leapt over the body if i didnāt do the metallic sphere. :looney: :looney: :looney:
its not unblockable i was just being lazy with no guard on to simulate i can be lazy
however i have a question about the twins unblockable can someone clarify whats breaks the guard in it i think its the cr.fierce can someone confirm?
Damn dude, I think Iāve said it a million times, so I think Iāll update the first post with this soon.
The Aegis breaks their guard BY ITSELF. The reason for this is because when the back of the Aegis is at their back, the first hit is blocked in a normal fashion. All the following Aegis hits will be needed to be blocked IN THE OPPOSITE DIRECTION. Any normal attack from Urien will be needed to be blocked IN THE CORRECT DIRECTION, and because you cannot block both ways (pretty much NEAR impossible), you get THE UNBLOCKABLE.

What Emphy said. You can just walk into them and they wonāt be able to block more than 1 hit of the aegis if they just hold back. I dunno why it lets you block the first hit

I meanā¦ in midscreen unblockables you could just do the dash to take the body to the aegis, and the f.mk is just to break guard in the first hit of the aegis? But if you donāt do anything, their guard would break just with the aegis?
