Also, after a sweep, you can do so many cool and stylish things if they quickrise or not. dash 2ice or just once and go freestyling(headbutts, ex heads, cr.short tackle/another headie) from there. Most ppl dont react first time and start doing srk’s(since most ppl play shotos) 2nd time. Im still trying to make good setups for urien so that cr.short of his(urien) beat a wakeup-shoryu. :S
Nub to Urien here, and I’ve been looking all over the place but can’t find what I’m looking for.
I wanted to know whats the Aegis ender for the shotos, is it 2 Mk. Tackles then Mp. Headbutt? Is that the most damaging? Cause I know that the long ender only works on Chun, Q, Makoto, Twelve, etc.
Well, if you mean best corner combo off cr. fierce on shotos WITHOUT METER, the most damage you can do is rh tackle, mk tackle, mp headbutt. Obviously, people do mk instead of rh for the first tackle because it’s much more forgiving. It’s only a ONE point difference anyway.
Seriously, ppl need to read things and stop asking the same questions over and over again.
You do just like always i2blue. partition the headbutt(lets say strong) and then during the stupid head you charge again, dash(charge the last bit during the dash) and voila, you do tackle.
This is not recommended. Better to dash back after the headbutt and do ex headbutt.
hm, maybe there’s a bit of mis-understanding, picture this,
Player 1:Urien
Player 2:Makoto
With Urien on the left hand side:
Urien hit’s makoto with a cr.HP then goes into MK tackle->HP aegis, then dash headbutt OVER her body, Urien now is on player 2 side, the question is:
How can I do a dash TOWARDS Makoto then do a tackle after I change sides?
I’ve tried it numerous times with different joystick inputs and still can’t get it. I’d really like some tips.
For a dash-tackle charge at the direction you will face. So if you are on player 1 side charge TOWARDS makoto during the head which will become back when you change sides. And from there it’s just a dash tackle. Really, it’s just that simple.
well after about i donno…4-5 hours of trying to do the dash under tackle ub, I GOT IT. the way i got it to work is also by sound. this only works on necro so far, but I think that if you can do it on necro, you will be able to do it on the other characters.
d+fp, early mk tackle xx fp aegis
halfway between where he starts to raise his hands and when he has his hands fully raised (emphy says to charge between “AE” and “GIS”, but I found that it is a split second after GIS on PS2, at least IMO), I charge down back for like 1/3 of a second.
as soon as the super freeze is over, i dash and hold down back. as soon as I hear necro hitting the reflector I press toward and RH. if you charged right, it’ll come out.
Anyone ever do a combo involving the EX tackle into EX Reflector? I tested it on dudley and the reflector links. might be more useful in the corner though.
I was messing around in training mode and I found out that cr.fierce, Ex headbutt, mp fireball, lp reflector, whiff mk tackle, dash dash f + mk works as a midscreen unblockable. Does anyone use this or does it waste too much meter?
I was watching some match vids of Urien vs Yun and Urien never did a midscreen unblockable, even when he got a cr.fierce in. The same goes for Hugo in this FFA ranbat with Mr.Universe. Anyway, I was just wondering why they don’t do the unblocable? Would they rather push them back into the corner or perhaps it’s harder on those chars?
SK Tackle might whiff after the MK tackle, and the ‘SP Sphere whiff tackle’ unblockable uses too much meter, and whiffs on characters that fall faster sometimes.
That’s what I do against shotos out of habit… I find it’s the easiest. Although I kara s.MP into short tackle for safety. I dunno if that makes it any better or not, but for some reason it increases my success rate? (with MK tackle too) I dunno.
As for vice versa, I find a 2nd tackle after LK tackle is harder… and it does less damage anyway doesn’t it? But I DO find it’s easier to get FBs to connect after LK tackle.
