When people safe fall from your throw, can you attack them right after they safe fall with a cr.fierce? I also saw someone do a fierce aegis instead of a lp aegis…is that good too?
I don’t understand why you would cr. fierce on their wake up…
Fierce aegis would be better in a situation where you want to mix it up so that they get hit INTO the aegis. You would want to be near the corner if you were to do fierce aegis.
Uh because I thought that after safe fall you would be vulnerable and so I thought they can’t block the cr.fierce? I would use cr.fierce so that I could combo into mk tackle.
Edit: I also have a question about Urien Vs Akuma. What can I do if Akuma does the teleport when I do the midscreen unblockable on him? Do I have enough time to punish his teleport or is the recovery too fast?
He can block the c.fierce, I remember you from the cvs2 forums quickstanding cannot be punished in 3S
and You can punish Akuma, I usually fireball xx Aegis and pressure, but if you know Akuma will teleport, dash back and c.fierce him, its possible, but you need to know the timing
He doesn’t react to the throw… he just senses it. It sounds like BS I know… but this guy is on Umehara-level when it comes to guessing. You just can’t out-guess him. And he shoryukens so fast it makes your heart bleed. My Yun finally has him under control though… :karate:
Then he’s not umehara level…
oh you remember me from CVS2 forums because I thought safe fall could be punished lol? About punishing Akuma…do you mean after the dash headbutt? Or if you know he’s going to teleport, do you just not do the headbutt at all?
With Akuma, I dont use hp aegis, I usually do c.hp, mk tackle xx whatever Aegis, crush xN. But yea, I dont do the headbutt when I threw him done or sweeped him, I just put Aegis on top of him and stay at 1/3 away from him or something, easy to dash in if he blocks or dash back if he reversal teleports outta there
Aww… that’s not nice -_- I only said his guessing was ume… he doesn’t quite hold up in the other areas.
I don’t know if anybody has posted this yet for the people who havn’t seen it. These are rx’s “wanted” videos. sorry if it’s a repost but i just found this thread and didn’t want to go through 14 pages. just click the blue links and save the download. don’t install that crap it ask you for and just hit “close” on the bottom left corner of that banner to get rid of it.

once again. soory if it’s a repost.
how can a guess be ume?
i dont understand…
you either have the power or not.
I thought that, from what i’ve heard, umehara = to be able to read minds = guessing-/mind-games?
ume = knowing
The definition is not exactly carved in stone…
bah, enough arguing… “ume” is just a way of saying psychic/good anticipation.
They’re just baggin’ because you’re comparing him to Daigo… which, most likely, isn’t a very good comparison. (Daigo is winning tourneys, and has huge rep, as opposed to the random dude)
Post up some vids! Then you can show everyone… In any case, I wanna see this guy pop people with DPs.
So…new question: For the midscreen unblockable with the dash tackle, is it a lot harder than the mp headbutt one? I know that Emphy said there was no timing on the headbutt but I’m not sure if it’s the same with the Dash tackle. And I know that the dash tackle is for the characters that cannot be hit by the regular headbutt unblockable but can it be used for the characters that can be hit by the headbutt unblockable? Also sometimes when I do the headbutt midscreen on the characters it’s supposed to work on (Yun, Akuma, Ibuki), they sometimes bounce away too far and when I headbutt, i’m in front of them instead of behind them. Why do I get this?
Also sometimes when I do the headbutt midscreen on the characters it’s supposed to work on (Yun, Akuma, Ibuki)>>>>
It does not work on Ibuki (the tackle does not touch her) or Yun (gets up way too fast).
The dash tackle setup works for everyone you can do the dash headbutt setup on.
As for the timing with the dash tackle compared to the dash headbutt, I’m not sure you realize that the idea for partitioning is completely different for both of them. Dash tackle has you dash, then tackle under right after aegis, while the dash headbutt should be done after the rh tackle hitting with the aegis.
Make sure to do the dash AND the tackle before Aegis hits. That’s what i do and it always works.
Oh and btw guys, have you guys played with the ex headbutt and the dash headbutts it allows? Omg its just toooo fun. Whatever, anywhere, > cr. fp > ex head > dash > jab head and from there continue.
Although its just a bad and risky and bla bla bla thing. Its really good for confusing you opp. Really. REALLY.
hrm… never thought of that! I bet it looks slick.
