Real Info on this upcoming patch

This won’t be ready for me to train for West Coast Warzone with…

This

…? This?.. I’v eplayed Blazblue never had a laggy match so far.

Oh I couldn’t say that: I’ve had more than one laggy match on Blazblue. But BB certainly has the best netcode out there right now.

BB, STHD top tier netcode
SFIV, VF5 mid tier
SCIV Low-mid
everything else trash so far

You forgot GGPO, easily top tier if not god tier

Well it looks like we may be able to finally whip out some 3 on 3s by the end of this month.

Not sure why people keep saying STHD has top tier netcode. It’s probably less noticeable but I do get frame skips. Might have to do with my opponent’s internet since it’s always best when I play with friends.

BB
VF5
STHD
SCIV, SF4

(caps)

Agree to that. Lets hope we get mid tier netcode then

360 netcode for HDR I think is suppsoed to be superior to PS3. Sirlin prefers the 360 so that might be why.

You put distance in, even BB netcode will start sucking.

While i do think the net code in vf5 is good, i don’t think it’s better than hdr. You can def feel the input delay in vf5, tho it’s not as bad as say SC4 or DR. Last time i played it offline was at NEC last year, i went home to play a few matches and couldn’t stand it, especially since there were only euro and jap players on.

HDR is just waaaay more stable on xbl when compared to psn because most psn users are on wireless. And yea hdr is definitely the best out there. When you can do stuff on reaction, you know the netcode is good.

LOL at kof12’s net code being comparable to sf4 like it’s a good thing. I defnitely won’t be buying it until a price drop now. SF4 is almost unplayable online because of how bad the input delay is. The only saving grace for kof12 is the multiplayer options it has online.

When I had played HDR online, players where hitting me with ninpo ninja vanish jumpkicks. The only thing that was missing, was the cliche’ smoke clouds.

vf5 is not very good online imo. worse than sf4

In online games, I only try to play people close to me. When it came to VF5 I would just play mainly with the guys from up in NYC, who I’ve played offline with. And as far as the other games, I’d play some of the same people but the netcode just wouldnt be up to par.

I think the mileage varies for all of us.

I’ve pretty much had nothing but excellent times with the VF5 netcode, even with out of country matches… sooo, I dunno what that’s all about.

But SFIV being unplayable? I think that’s a little bit of an over-exaggeration, the button delay is pretty slight, if not unnoticable in most of my matches. But I will agree that the BB netcode is excellent, just wish they could all be like that.

On a side note, anyone else think the KOF98UM netcode is better than KOFXII’s?

^98UM’s netcode is hit and miss with me, it might be a tad bit better which isn’t saying much

that’s crap

I’ve played many! people from Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, Korea and Australia in VF5 and there was damn near NO delay …Europe is another matter but it makes sense seeing as I’m on the west coast but it’s still playable.

connection bars almost don’t mean anything in VF5 also, I’ve played too many gray bars that felt like full bars.

SF4 is no where close …but good

only net-code that beats VF5 is BB

imo

^ QFT… It’s the only game I can play reliably with my guys in Yoko JP…

Dunno I remember hearing there was some magical update with VF5, but I never experienced it. I played BBH who is in Portland (I’m in Ohio), and there was plenty of input delay, prolly 4-5 frames. Both of us have good wired connections, ports forwarded. VF really gets hurt online, too. I can’t reaction fuzzy, or do throw escapes on reaction to the opponent evading my move. Hell, even combos and punishing properly are pretty hard online and VF has a huge input buffer. It’s just not a game I would ever try to play in lag that was more than 1 frame.
