Or are people who have experienced better netplay available like GGPO. GGPO provides consistant input delay of either 0 or 1 frame regardless of whether the ping is 20ms or 120ms, this does not happen in SF4. This is a simple fact, why do people make claims that the call for GGPO is based merely on opinion (sure opinion is part of it but not the whole argument). GGPO isn’t impossible to implement, and its lightyears ahead of SF4 style netcode.
For anyone whos bothered bring your support for better netcode to the Ignition forums, theres a chance you might get heard over there, and its better than arguing mindlessly here.

Are you a retard? Unless you’re some self-centered jack-ass, of course the time frame matters! In a month or two the game will be too far gone and out of the average player conciousness (and i don’t mean casual, i mean fighting game fans, period). Other games will be out, the media will not care or bother to report a patch, there’'ll be 5 people left online (which would make good netcode meaningless), and sales will not pick up at all, hindering not only Ignition’s status and affecting their investment in a next SNKP game, but also affecting SNKP’s resources and interest in the american market.
Use your brain at least once, please.

You’re also forgetting that the 360 version sold far less then the PS3 version of KOF so there’s a far smaller sample size on which to base that “better connection” for the PS3. Only about 15k of KOF XII sold on the 360. And for all we know, those sales could be clustered mainly around California making the distance play skewed.
And playing both, I can tell you that online performance is on a PER game basis, but the 360 is actually WORSE online then the PS3 due to it being almost ALL P2P based while the PS3 games are a mix of P2P and dedicated servers.

SF4-Level is a bit disappointing for me.
I haven’t even come across another Australian playing MvC2 online, this game won’t even have Australians online.
GGPO is my only way of playing online, it works well even with Americans.
This on the other hand, won’t.
Still, Online was never the important thing about this game to me (I have like 3 local players to fight against) so I’m not going to throw away my preorder because of this.
Well, they’re stuck with GSS netcode for this release so they got to make the best of it. Who knows, it might be slightly better than SFIV’s. I’ll take what I can get though to be honest.
