Alright, it’s official. There will be a MBAC tournament on the side. I have about 7 confirmed entries so far, three unconfirmed or speculative.
Contact me or post here if you want to sign up. If there’s enough interest, I’ll make a separate thread. We’re going to have a $5 entry fee until we reach 16 entries, then we can discuss bumping it up to $10
There will probably be some hammering out of details in order to make this work without messing with other tournaments, but it shouldn’t be too much of an issue, as the only other game most of the entries play is GGXX.

Actually, I have 5 people signed up on the brackets I have for GG so far that aren’t on the main site. I’m sure Marvel will EVENTUALLY have a larger turnout, though…

Actually, they should be tied right now… before they were ahead, but someone put GG without any info, so the post was deleted. Lawrence asked me to sign him up for Marvel, ST, and GG, but I put marvel, cvs2, GG and asked Sam to change it, but he messed up.
By my current accounting (including people who wished not to be on the booyagames website signup but gave me their info tentatively for the bracketing software), there are 20 for GG and 12 for Marvel.
Notably, there are also 2 more 3S players, 1 more CvS2 player, and 1 more Tekken player on this list than on the booyagames list, and an eight-man Melty Blood tournament.
Some of these are the same people, and some of them might not show up, but this is true of the other signup sheet as well.
why are people not wanting to sign up on the website? that seems pretty dumb… But whatever people are weird like that. Stop arguing please about which has higher entrants. No one really cares.

Okay so we all got together and had a little meeting about what was going on. We have a tentative schedule that will be updated to the tourney website and the first post soon. We also decided on rules for side tournaments.
They are as follows
- You may hold side tournaments
- You must bring your own tvs and ps2s
- Because of limited power available if we need the power you are using you will be booted
- Playing in a side tournament does not get you out of playing in a tournament that is part of the main event. If you do no show up within 2minutes of being called for your tournament match you will be dq’d no questions asked.
So just remember that. Also get hype everyone the day is getting closer and closer, bring all your friends so you can take their money!

Please lets not flame in this thread. I said lets end the discussion of which game gets more entrants cause it really has no bearing on this tournament. Especially since there is no real way to have you guys settle the conflict in a game as each group plays different games I would like to ask respectfully for both sides to just let it go. If anyone else mentions entrants numbers for games I will ask that action be taken. Please don’t ruin a good time with random hate.
