I would enter a neowave tourney, and just pretend that it’s KOF 2k2 since I have only ever played Neowave once or twice in the arcade.
Well either Sam Fixed It already or the people who signed up under fake names didn’t try and register for anything, etiher way it’s not affecting the totals… I guess you might want to look out for the San Fran guy that could be a fake or a no show… but who knows.

Just in case people are curious, there are exactly 60 total attendees signed up (not including ones that aren’t signed up for any games.) Right now. I’m hoping a good majority of them will show up. I also know that there are many people definitely showing up that aren’t on that list for whatever reason. It looks like we’ll have a good turnout.

hey I just realized I’m not seeded for Oregon. Can we do that please? If the idea is that the top players don’t play eachother first then I think I should be seeded. I think it’s known that the only guy I don’t beat consistently is SamB for the seeds that were stated. That would be swell.

We should hold a world tournament for 3 Count Bout. I suspect only 4 people would enter, and we could call ourselves the greatest 3 Count Bout players in the entire world, similar to something Dark Geese would say. Delusions of grandeur.

You guys are funny, but there are people who actually care about KOF '98 to this day. And in fact, I like SNK games better than Capcom games, it’s just that nobody but me and Nate and maybe Elias play KOF/Garou. And my skills if I ever had any have atrophied from lack of play, I’m pretty much mediocre at a wide variety of games, that’s all. :karate:

From what I understand, JTM and Deezo are not attending. If they were, they’d be shoe-ins, IMHO. Let people like Airthrow, Mechanica, PaulLee, and whomever play for the Wild Card spot. But this is also contingent on the format. Are teams limited to a single iteration of a character? If so, that kinda helps in determining the players. It also makes a 5v5 more interesting. This is something I’ve been asking for months, but haven’t really seen a response from any of the organizers.
Would you be playing for the wild card too, Keith? Are you even going?

I say we do no repeat characters, first team to eliminate the other team twice wins, losing team is allowed to reorder and choose new characters

Mandel told me on Friday night that he probably couldn’t get off of work. Josh, in his infinite wisdom as a manager, scheduled himself to work on Saturday. So you guys will be without your Chun Li and Old Sagat.
Beasley and SamY were talking about the format on Saturday morning. I think they agreed on either round robin and team elimination as the two viable formats. Which one they go with will depend on how much time remains after all of the tournaments have wrapped up.
I’ll be team captain for both games for PDX. And yes there should be a kof11 and Garou tourney(More free money for me!)
What are the side tourneys? I’d like to play in a Garou tourney but I don’t have a job so ten bux is kinda steep per side tourney. I really wanna play though…
