You can barrel roll in Pulse. Same as it is in Pure and HD - LRL or RLR in the air.

How fucked up is it that I only want to play this to The Offspring. Like if that’s not in the game I don’t want it. And I hated that music oh so much. I hope it’s part 2. I hope it’s a 2 fer.
I like Blur more even after playing this demo. Like this game is pretty freaking cool but I don’t see it having long legs like Blur will. Split Second feels like it belongs in the arcades. That’s not a dis but it would be tight as hell to play with 8 machines lined up. We’ll find out in the last week of May who the spring racing king will be!

Split Second has got to be the most badass racer I have ever played.
I like Wipeout Pure the best overall vs Pulse (despite Pulse’s custom ship and music options), but Pure is kind of slow. HD is the ultimate version of both games-- the huge speed boost and tighter roll ability makes it a new game with the same content.
Yeah i finally got both my Daytona 2 cabs in my man cave…So its ready for 2player action!

It’s really good. Never played any Wipeout game before, and I love this shit.
I had the opposite reaction. I haven’t touched the Blur demo since I downloaded Split/Second. But, I’ll say this, Split/Second’s netcode better be fucking flawless. Because if the online play on there is garbage, it’s going to piss me (and a lot of people off.)

Anyway though, I see what you’re saying. I think that Split/Second’s single player will have a shorter shelf life than Blur’s single player. But Split/Second feels a little less Mario Kart-ish to me. I like the arcade racer feel it has. Both games are good though. I’ll probably rent them both first, and then make a decision on which one to purchase.

If one couldn’t tell from the beta, Blur is the shit. The tracks have all been pretty darn fun so far.
Edit: So I’m at Rank 16 in single and like 11 in multiplayer. Single player AI is pretty good. I don’t notice a rubberband effect. When you lead, you lead. However, in boss races be prepared to get your ass ate up. However, wrecking a boss wins the race automatically. It’s cheap but an effective way of winning (I’ve only won because I wreck people. I wreck them you hear!).
Split/Second is gonna go for $40 next week at Best Buy. Also will come with three Best Buy smothered cars.

Yea Blur is seriously so so good, the tracks are really solid and got a lot of cool paths and lines.
