Second of all, I wanted to ask a question (I do that alot xD).
I seem to be using Rachel’s shocking chair move quite alot (2 or 3c I believe) and I was wondering what Rachel can do after she counters someone with that move? They fly so high into the air it doesn’t seem like I can get a good combo off.
The combo from this video, I figured I’d practice these before I really went anywhere else with Rachel.

3C is her Spinning Dress Things, but in the video it gives you a rushing Umbrella with her Silpheed. How does it work? Does it cancel?

I believe that’s a typo in the combo instruction, because when Rachel performs the combo right after it is in fact 6CD rather than 3CD. You are correct, 3C is the spiky dress thing she does and 6CD is what she actually did in the combo.
It depends on your distance from your opponent. If you’re right up close to them (deep), you don’t need to use a super jump, just use a regular jump. So it would be:
But sometimes when they get hit they get launched pretty high, depending on how high they are when they get hit. So this doesn’t allow the 5B to connect before they can recover. Or am i making that up?
I’m not a pro Rachel myself I literally just got my game 2 days ago but I’m guessing it all depends on how it connects.
Man I can do Rachel’s combos and all, but I went online today and got my ass whooped. I do fine until I get cornered and once I am in the corner, I’m fucking dead. I really don’t know what to do. And when I start my combos somehow they are able to get out of them without burst, might be I’m fucking up the links or something.
I’ve been practicing techniques to close in on the opponent, and j.3C+D is one of Rachel’s best. I’ve been working on jump canceling it, and doing it again to add pressure. I’ve been very inconsistent…so I’m guessing its my execution that is off…any tips to make this process smoother?
EDIT: I’ve only been doing this in the corner…because I seem to fly right over their heads any other place on the screen.

First I’mg lad I’m not the only person who didn’t get the numpad references right off… terminology! Bah! Back in the day when we didn’t have internets… ANYWAYS!
The combo I’ve had a lot of success with corner pressuring is as follows:
5B 5B 6CD~5C And it loops into itself…
Now then, when you get a smart (Read: Not retarded) opponent, they’ll block those shots… good on you, you are pressuring them. Either a) Keep it up and go for the crush (Hopefully :3)
or B, on the second(Third… fourth… depending on your wind meter and your stubbornness…)
Replace…
6CD with 3CD for the sweep… combo as you like afterwards.
On a last note: Any easy way to get the j.2C3D smash combo up and running? I"m having a hard time with the timing to not get it interrupted.
Another point is… :Well, what if they crouch block/poke out of it? Weeeeell… you might be in trouble if they crouchblock it off the rip. SO! At the end (During… whenever) toss in a 4B, dash back and reset for round two.
Thoughts, flames, etcetera, are welcomed.
Edit: Careful for any Rawrgnas. They have a really nasty 2A poke that can and will interrupt at the end and lead into a combo. I got nailed with one last night… pain, my friends.
Weretiger_Rei: I like to approach with 6A 5B as if I’m going to do a BnB air combo. If it hits, great, BnB air combo. If they block, it gives me 2 hits to see where they’re blocking.
If it’s high, 3CD (sweep) 214A 66 3C (frog explodes) continue with rape.
If it’s low, j.3D2C 5B j.2C 5B 5CDC 214A 66 3C etc.
If they switch and block the j.3D2C, replace 5CDC with 3CD to mix them up again (hopefully).
Basically, use 6A 5B to see how you should do the mixup. Overheads with j.3D2C really fuck shit up.
I’ve had some success with 3C+D, tends to get stuffed a bit though. (But on the plus side it goes under all of Taokaka’s projectiles if you’ve got one using them to run the clock)
i need help beating noel and Jin spammers ^^. all the trainning room practice is unless because they spam me, it’s very hard for me to counter them. today i went 1-10 with Rachel and 7-0 with Ragna.
