Putting her feet in your face. (Juri Combo Thread)

Found an interesting way to confirm into ex-shikusen midscreen though it’s quite impractical as it requires the opponent to be standing (and Juri has no move to force standing like she did in AE… >.>)

crossup j.mk > cr.lp xx release hk fuhajin > cr.hp xx jump cancel > ex-shikusen > [insertmorenonsensehere]

Uhhh…the damage scaling on that is rather high. By the time you SC off H senpusha you’re already at 50%. Having said that I try my best not to touch light attacks for combo usage. I don’t use them for hit confirms.

At least with Juri anyway.

Not sure if this is common knowledge or not, but I’ve found that I can get a cr. hp xx jump cancel > j. hp > cs. hp xx super (cross art too if you got a meter gem setup to help that out) to work after an EX Senpusha at midscreen and in the corner. Timing seems pretty tight for the cr. hp so I’m not sure how practical it is, but could be useful for anyone who can get used to it. Admittedly though, I don’t exactly have the best execution so it might be easier than I’m making it out to be.

Interesting, I’ll have to give that a shot as I’ve always been lazy and just done cr.mk xx senpusha

O_O Gonna’ have to try that out, could have some interesting applications.

Getting a cr.hp after an EX Senpusha is indeed possible, although it’s extremely difficult to do. The downside is that, the opponent is almost touching the ground when the cr.hp kicks in, so it would almost be impossible for jp.hp to catch up. This is on 1.06 though, so doing it midscreen is impossible since EX Senpusha’s forward movement is not yet fixed.

If done correctly and consistently, this could be used to improve the damage of your EX Senpusha reversals.

Here’s the video. I was able to do it because the recorder slows down the frame rate, enabling me to time my moves better. In a 60 fps environment it is much harder to do.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_BnrVTkzPvk&feature=youtu.be
Yeah before cl.hp got “buffed” if you landed J.hk>cl.hp. You could actually land Kaisen Dankairaku. Obviously now we can land it easily right after cl.hp.

I love Ex Senpusha>cr.hp>J.hp>.cl.hp>L Senpusha. 338 nice damge solo. Hell I can land 494 with King for 2 bars or 500 with Yoshi for 2 bars (but using it was Yoshi is much riskier even though I got the hit off).

Still hitting ever so close to 500 for a wake-up/reversal? YES PLEASE! I can’t believe I didn’t look into this beforehand. I never thought it was actually possible to combo cr.hp from Ex Senpusha. I have dark to thank for that.

:D

Now if only the link was just a bit easier… I drop it way too often atm. Also, it’s worth noting that if you’ve spent your last bar on a desperation reversal, you can gtfo by doing cr.hp xx j.hp > launcher with no extra cost and doing near 300 dmg in the process.

Excellent. Dat launcha…I honestly didn’t think it was possible linking cr.hp from Ex Senpusha. Since at the time linking cr.mk from Ex Senpusha was wierd I thought “there is no way cr.hp will connect” I was wrong. Which makes me happy.

This is going to be mad useful once I get the timing down. I don’t like to EX Sen on wakeup or as a reversal too much, but being able to do so and get a switch off of it without using two bars is pretty sweet.
What are people doing in the corner with Juri post launch? I feel like it’s really hard to do c.HP consistently given the time it takes her to run in.

Same thing I’m doing mid-screen. Asuka’s launcher is awesome :3

That said, if you REALLY can’t get cr.hp in the corner… cr.mp > cr.mp > cr.mk xx lk.senpusha should be an option… havn’t tested so don’t hold me to it.

All launchers are the same with height launching and whatnot. It all involves when you can attack. Some characters launch themselves forward alot (yoshi) since you can only act when your incoming character touches your off-going character. Thus creating the illiusion that some launchers launch higher then others. Oh yeah before I forget Capcom needs to fix the launchers so that launchers launch ALL crouching attacks. It’s pretty dumb when some crouching attacks can bypass the launcher rule. (ex: cody’s cr.mk, beats out every launcher except Jin’s since his is 2 hits…that’s pretty dumb.) I want that rectified.

Tested it and it works. I tried it on 1.06, but nothing is mentioned about the juggle potential of Juri so I guess it will stick in 2013.
cr means crouching. As far as I remember about Juri’s trials which involve a cr.hp and a jump cancel you must knock the opponent to the air with a Fuhajin first. That’s trial 19, right?

Fuhajin (don’t release the Fuhajin)
crouching hp
jump (let go of Fuhajin at this point)
Shikusen
cr.mk
EX Senpusha
i cant connect from tag. cr HP jump HP :frowning: my enemy falls easily

Here’s how I did it for trial 19:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ac3HEAhZfak&feature=youtu.be

replacing Shikusen with jumping HP lies on the same principle as shown below on 3:42:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=sJGXKruYwh8

The three rules you need to remember are the following:

1. You need to knock your opponent to the air first to be able to do it, usually with a Senpusha or Fuhajin. Hitting a cr.hp xx jp.hp to a standing opponent never connects as a combo.
2. You can only do it by yourself in the corner. Mid-screen jump cancel combos require assistance from your partner or from your opponent for higher air time.
3. cr.hp should be released as soon as Juri finishes the recovery frames of her previous attack. If you hit cr.hp early enough the air time will be much higher for you to follow it up with a jp.hp
