Ichi and kens new frame trap combos at 1:25 can’t wait for ae ken. He should have been like this at the beginning.

I don’t know if this has been found before, but I found a cool little mixup with Ken, just wanted to share.

Dr.Chaos or BowflexMike did this midmatch awhile back. You can also delay the cr.hp xx tatsu and land in the front.
People will do this trick if the opp isn’t near death and just tryna get an reset.

did i do everything right in this match up?
Need to work on your footsies and anti-airs. Also work on you hit confirms from crouch jabs. Cr.mk xx fireball after jabs ain’t big damage. Gotta make 'em hurt!
i thought her axe kick would be my srk thats why i didnt
No way man MP SRK will win, her active frames will nearly run out by the time the invuln for your mp srk starts. Her axe kick is just like uppercutting Adon’s jaguar kick. But anti-air wise I mean just her jump ins, that makoto got to jump in a lot on you.
Thanks I’ll do that the next time I run into her again
guys check out this ken eva01 hes really good
I play his Ken. Pretty good with him
I remember Eva01 from Vanilla, he was posting around here too if I’m not mistaken. Haven’t seen him in awhile though.
ive been around ive seen him play in peacefull jays in the morning and ive played him a couple times it was GG’S
Yeah he’s legit. OnlineTony213 told me he plays with him all the time. He said Eva01 doesn’t go to a lot of tournaments though.
I recorded a fun match with my friend Ark Impulse’s Chun-li on XBL last night:

We both did some pretty cool stuff. There were a lot of things we couldn’t do because of lag, but his Chun-li’s really good.
Awesome FADC to U1!!!
He was late crouch teching well so it was cool to see you adapting and using the correct counters to it so quickly (cl.st.mk, cl.st.hk). I thought you could have used far.st.mp after your cr.lp’s to score a few counterhits into sweep on him due to his crouch teching tendancies. When people constantly tech my kara throws, 9 times out of 10, they are timing it perfectly to get hit in the face by cr.lk, cr.lp, cr.lp, far.st.mp (CH), cr.hk.
(I know it doesn’t work so well on everyone so correct me if I’m wrong and it whiffs on Chun or something stupid.)
I like your use of jp.lk to stuff the wake-up EX bird kick. Can you remind me of the timing for that as I understand it’s not an “immediate” jump in is it? I also really liked how you shut down a lot of Chun’s poking game with your spacing and footsies.
I’m glad you’re posting more vids of yourself. I learn so much from you guys!!
I have a tonne of replays of myself, but I always would rather be playing more matches than videoing my old ones and thus I never get round to doing it!! I should though, just to get the feedback on my play.
G.
Thx G. Yeah, I should’ve used FS. MP more. It hasn’t been incorporated into my game yet.
You can stuff EX SBK if you time the Forward Jump a little later after F. SRK on hit. Chun-li has to do Reversal EX SBK though, or she can wait a little longer and time the EX SBK as an invincible AA.
Thx for noticing the Spacing . I was too reckless with my C. MK/Sweep though. I thought he wouldn’t be able to whiff punish my C. MK online but he kept doing it lol. I’d also never throw those reckless FB’s offline because that’s a free Hazanshu.
For sure. Win or lose, if it’s a close match I’ll post’em up on YouTube.
Good stuff Joon! Nice Cl.hk xx Meaty Hadoken FADC U1 . We really should add frame trap mixups after Jumping attacks to our game, glad you are already including it in your game. We as well should do that against Non-grapplers, or against people that we notice are teching alot. I mean when I pick viper for fun, I always go for st.hp after my jump-ins, just because I can faint it, but I always always get a counterhit and her St.hp is 9 frames startup which is almost like ken’s cl.HK and cl.MK.
@ G77, far st.mp only whiffs on crouching chun after 3 lights if your last jab hit. Am not entirely sure if it also whiffs if the last jab was blocked, but am sure that it will definitely counterhit a late tech. Some chun-lis and bisons have counterhit my far st.mp with early techs ( Mash ).
Anyways guys I noticed that there was a StunFest tournament in Europe somewhere and Tokido, MOV, Alioune and many other high level players were there. I hate that I missed it, I barely heard about it yesterday. I have checked KayaneChan’s twitter and she says MOV has a VERY impressive ken in SSFIV! He got 2nd lost to Tokido in finals, he also beat Alioune sensei which is pretty impressive. A friend has told me that MOV pulled off some impressive tricks and option selects against Tokido. I can’t wait for matches to be uploaded, Kayane said she will try to record some with a camera and upload them! Am hyped.
Someone put some of these up already I think, here are some more of Wao’s AE Ken matches from that 3on3 tournament.
