have you tried this on the xbox version?
I’m pretty sure there the exact same thing
The problem with this OS is that it loses to his EX Psycho Crusher, EX Scissors and quite possibly most of his teleports as well.
My personal opinion on THE BEST Option Select against a Bison player who has meter (and thus has the most escape options open) is as follows:
**Forward Throw, immediate lk tatsu (crosses over the downed opponent and removes horizontal charge), cr.lk, fwd lk+mk. **
(You can sub in lp instead of lk if you want, but the hand position is quite awkward).
This Option Select is effective because Bison:
Cannot do a reversal EX Psycho Crusher (no charge)
Cannot do a reversal EX Scissors
Cannot backdash to safety (I believe you score an air reset on Bison)
Will whiff any attempted Head Stomps and is fully punishable
Will have to work hard to ensure that he controls his EX Devil’s Reverse correctly to make it safe. (This is Bison’s only truly safe escape other than blocking and possibly a very risky teleport to behind you.)
Thoughts?
Peace,
G.
KichijyojiKEN’s always impressive with his patient play, and great spacing.

^ what does the forward mk+lk do? Gives u s.lk if he blocks step kick if he stomps/dr?
Correct.
The step kick catches the back dash, makes the head stomp whiff (so you can punish it) and leaves you right in front of him if he teleports backwards. You can OS an EX tatsu instead for extra damage if you think he’s going to tele or backdash, but if he Head Stomps or DR’s, you can’t recover in time to punish him and you waste a stock.
G.
The os he posted was cool but not practical.too many options for bison to escape and then u still have to do the ultra on reaction
So I recently got an iPhone 4 and I can upload my videos on-the-go now:

My older brother’s handle is Wing. He dropped C. Viper because he said she’s boring and now he’s going to start using Makoto in AE. Apparently she’s more “fun” to him lol. Also, I wrote some false information about Makoto when AE 1st came out; you can still True Safe Jump her in AE. According to Japanese SSF4 AE magazine (I don’t know the name), Makoto’s L. Fukiage didn’t get any faster but they significantly lowered her vulnerable hit box making it high priority. Her Medium/Fierce/EX Fukiage’s vulnerable hit box was also lowered too and is 2-frames faster.
Makotos still a beast.
Here are some AE Ken mirrors with my friend:

I better prepare for EVO 2011 lol.
Nerfed air tatsu in ken mirror 2 @ 00:37 >:(!!!
There are so many great matches of you in that channel :p! I wish I can come to EVO! It would be awesome to see everyone there and I would watch all of your and other great kens matches there.
By the way, you mentioned that makoto’s vulnerable hitbox on fukiage was decreased, was that the only buff she received on her fukiage? So the actual hitbox of the fukiage wasn’t increased or widened? If this is the case then J.hp after kara throw still should force Lp.fukiage to whiff, unless her Lp.fukiage received a faster startup buff.
Am pretty sure her Lp.fukiage has faster startup , because she can link it after an EX hayate in the corner on every character in AE now. Oh well, we just have to wait until June for the training mode :p.
That was my question too and I read this in the translation on EventHubs:
“Out of all of Makoto’s special moves, her Fukiage (Upwards Punch) has the biggest change. The hitbox was extended downward, while the hittable box on the arm has been significantly reduced. Since the attack reaches lower, you can hit your opponent with Fukiage during a Level 2 Focus Attack crumple, allowing you to use it in combos.”
Capcom lowered the Hittable Box for improve it’s priority and extended the Hitbox downward so it hits lower making it work after Crumple or EX Hayate in the corner. So True Safe Jump will still counter hit or whiff AE Makoto’s L. Fukiage.
I still don’t know if I’m going to EVO this year, but that’d be great. I actually want to play some other Ken players, specifically BurnYourBra. I saw a video of her against Dr. Chaos recently and she improved a lot.

After watching this video, I noticed that they used FS. MP after baiting out Crouch Techs instead of Kara Throw. lilsicx66 was using this against me the other day too and I was getting hit. I tried it myself and it’s definitely a solid mix-up.
I learned the far st.mp counter hit setup from banana ken I believe awhile back. Made my roommate rage when I tried that into sweep on him. Counter hit setups in general is where Ken is gonna shine the most IMO. And maximizing stun/dmg and always keeping the mix up fresh.
Edit: watched the Burn Vs. Chaos match, seen it already but just wanted to note there was a lot of poking and not enough hit confirming…so it was like I’m fishing for something but I’m not sure if it’s a CH setup or a combo.
Joon: Solid play from your matches man, only thing I could mention was your Anti-Air wasn’t very strong except for whiffed mp srks from cross ups(signaling your were trying). And not enough crouch tech baiting with the shuffle after a block string or delayed srk/normal. But hey that’s just three matches, might be doing those things on the regular just didn’t show up then. =P
Someone has put some of my old fights up on Youtube. It makes a change to watch myself in a fight where my opponent had a good result. Makes me really critical of my game.
I get my butt handed to me by this Balrog, so any advice on the match-up would be greatly appreciated.

I’d like to say that I’ve improved my links a lot since these games (I think these are about 3 months old) and I’ve got rid of unnecessary st.lp’s in my tatsu combos, replacing them with cr.fp when I can. I’ve also learnt how to apply a bit more pressure on Balrog’s wake-up since then as well.
Still, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Peace,
G.
YouTube - MrTSUTAYA’s Channel Good AE Ken play for you guys to enjoy if you haven’t seen it yet.
G77: Anti-Air. Rog was gettin’ free jump ins all day. Also not enough abuse of the low forward on his wake up but you said already about applying pressure on his wake up as getting better. Rog literally has to block on wake up against Ken.
So it’s final. There’s no other new changes to Ken right?
Nope. Haven’t seen anything new besides what we already know man. =/
Also, the first post has a big makeover in it, so check it out guys!

Anti air more. Pretty good fundamentals though man. You should buffer tatsu during low forward in case he moves in too close or tries to do ducking.
