what’s a scissor kick?
:l:,:r:+:k:
yes i know, i was just doing my best to contribute to the last few posts.
I am still trying to get better at punishing dps. I need to break the habit of just doing s hk and c lk, lk scissors. Lately though if I have charge I have been doing more c mk, hk scissors or pc. But when I don’t have charge I wish I could get in the habit of c mp into s hk. 200 dmg and 300 stun.
I try to do s fp, s lk, s hk too but it seems lp dps recover too fast if they don’t do it in your face. sucks :(. Really wish you punish whiffed lp shoryukens much more harshly.
I’ve been trying to take advantage of Bison’s stun lately and its been working. He doesn’t do a ton dmg, but he can really add on the VERY stun quickly at which point you can then do big damage.
I think overall at the beginning of a match Bison doesn’t want to get thrown. Now I think it is better to get dp’d (until they get ultra) Just so you can quickly get back up and put the pressure on again and continue to try and stun.
Bisons psycho crusher (non ex and probably ex too) goes through some characters ultras. Just tried to chip a chun to death with full screen pc and she ultrad and we went through each other. Think abel’s goes through too. I think it even goes through sagats not sure though.
This is a result of the ultras moving forward quickly before their active frames come out. Chun kind of hops forward a bit before her kicks or hitbox come out, so it’s entirely possible for someone to just go through. I went through a Blanka once with Chun’s Ultra.
It also happens sometimes with EX moves and Rog’s TAP.
speaking of PC going through specials/ultras, whats the deal with EX PC going through an EX fireball and then not hitting the target when it goes through the special?
I think I was fighting either a Ryu player or a Chun player which used an EX fireball on me. I went through the EX fireball then pretty much passed right through the other player because he wasn’t blocking. Instead of hitting him it left me wide open for a reversal after I passed through him and I died.
I felt like DSP when that happend and screamed “WHUUUUTTTTT???”
It’s been talked about before, but it seems like the game treats the EX PC as a projectile. Once it absorbs 2 hits it fizzles out I guess.
I did some testing, and I’m pretty convinced of this at this point.

I posted my results in this thread to keep things together.
well its good that you have posted results there and they will be in context. We have also trained to manage results this way during mcse, vmware certification training and CISSP certification.
PC is shit, pure and simple. I can’t believe they saw how powerful the beta PC was, and decided to nerf anything useful about it what so ever.
Chip damage and poor mans teleport ftw
I think Andre mentioned awhile back about kara teching with bison against rufus… how exactly is this done?
Honestly I use EX PC a lot, and not just to escape on wakeup. Sometimes I’ll throw it out and most of the time I won’t get punished for it. Then again, I’m not throwing it from mid - full screen.
lp PC I kinda use like Blankas lp ball.

Sounds like a plink from short to jab.
Whiffing throws. Am I supposed to delay my throw inputs slightly when I tick throw?
Sometimes I will go for tick throw and my throw whiffs. Bison does the throw animation but it goes right through them and then I get thrown. I know I am at the proper distance because they have no lateral movement before they throw me.
Yep. You can’t throw somebody still in hitstun or blockstun. So basically you’re throwing a little early.
It sounds like you’re trying to throw off of a hit though, since blockstun is generally short enough in this game to avoid whiffing.
It sounds like you’re throwing too early. The other player is still in block stun, which can’t be thrown. You will need to delay the input based on the amount of frame advantage you get from the move you threw out. Close standing jab, for example, has a lot of advantage, which means the input needs to be delayed more than say crouching short, which has less advantage.
Getting the timing as tight as possible takes practice. The best method is to go into training mode, set the computer to block, and practice stringing into throws. Try to get the throw as close to the last hit as possible without it whiffing.
depends on the move you’re using, and whether it lands or gets blocked. You wanna initiate throw at +2 frames, that’s the sweet spot.
