exPC and normal PC are two completely different moves. Even when blocked, exPC gives you options (throw, cLK, etc), as well as being a great escape tool. Hell, you can even catch people unaware, due to its speed
Normal PC, if blocked, leads to you getting punished severely, no matter what. Not to mention that even if you use it to end a combo, it leaves you in a terrible position afterwards.
Yes, I know how to use EX PC, no need to explain. With Jab PC, I’ll usually throw it out full screen to close the distance. Certainly there are safer options… like walking forward, dashing, or sliding, but I’ve been surprised by the amount of people that I’ve caught with it and how little I get punished for doing it at that range.
no, I mean if he goes past you and is rushing toward the end of the screen.
I know it doesnt happen to often, but I want to know what I can do if it does.
DR + followup (not empty) -> ultra. I know everybody’s been saying that there’re basically only a few ways to setup the ultra, but is that supported by frame data only or just lack of creativity? I’ve tried slowly inputting my ultra command as I do the DR followup so that I can hit the opponent and simultaneously buffer my ultra (hitting -> KKK when I hit the ground) but I either hit the guy and don’t get the ultra to come out or I don’t hit the guy and the ultra comes out when I hit the ground. Is that lack of execution ability or does the engine not allow for me to hit the guy and then ultra for the few frames that I’m on the ground and he’s popped up into the air? Also, is the EX version any different?
What about the same variation as above except hitting the ground, canceling into teleport, and then immediately canceling into ultra (so turn purple for a split second, then ultra)?
It seems like you’re in a “ground state” a little before you actually hit the ground. I’ve teleported or ultra’d (don’t remember which) out of skull-diver right before hitting the ground.
Either way, I’m talking about after you hit the person and land on the ground. It seems like Bison is in a ground state and the opponent is slightly “popped up.” Can he be juggled if you could do an ultra from there?
I understand kind of like you can “air” focus when it looks like your in the air but are really in the ground. Thing is it is really hard to land skull driver now because a lot of char have full proof ways around like shoto’s crouch mk,even Bison has a way around it in mirrors! That is a major issue before you start thinking of how to manage to get enough charge.
Actually I just checked move names. I’ve been talking about the follow-up for Devil’s Reverse, NOT skulldiver. I don’t know what it’s called.
Here was my thought on charge:
Hold DB 2 seconds
Hit UB + P
When close, hit P for follow-up.
As you are descending, slowly input forward, back, forward + KKK. The first forward should allow you to be close enough to hit the opponent and you are inputting it slow enough to end with forward + KKK when you hit the ground.
try it out and let us know. you have to keep in mind though that it might not be possible because of however much frame advantage you have off of a DR that is landed and how much the startup of an Ultra is. Besides, this is more likely off of a jumpin fierce I think anyways.
Yeah I was trying that off of an ex dr in the corner but couldn’t pull it off. If you can kudos.EX skull into ultra that is sick hopefully they make the crusher better in the next update at least good enough to go against cr and spam jab.
Yeah, sorry- I’ve been trying it and trying to convince myself that it’s possible, but I haven’t had any luck yet. Like I said, I either don’t hit them and get the ultra to come out, or do hit them with no ultra. I was just checking if someone with better execution could do it. I can’t do one-frame links, but that doesn’t mean it’s not possible.
alright, i don’t know if this is common knowledge but i found this interesting. check out 3:16 of this vid:

i’ve been in training mode for the last 20 mins trying to ex-psycho crusher through hadokens with no success. am i just mis-timing it, or is there some other factor i’m not seeing?
