Yes, I have this mentality that I have to mix it up, so that’s what I try to do. However, maybe I am not mixing it up enough such that I am becoming not predictable. I went into Versus mode, and I tried blocking against the CPU for nearly a hour. It helped a bit, but when I went to CTF this past week, I started panicking under opponent pressure again. It was like a subconscious feeling that popped up out of nowhere. I think I have to continue doing it long-term, in order to get used to it. I can definitely say with confidence that overall, my defense has improved.

Ugh I have the exact same problem as Rose.
Ends up making me free to rushdown in specific matchups i’m not confident in.
Too used to playing Chun Li and having answers for almost everything.

Oni: Thanks, I was a bit cautious on using far standing fierce due to recovery.

Just as long as far st.fierce actually hits when you’re using it (or at least trades) than you’re fine.

I can understand that since it happens to everyone. But he never bothered to go for it in the first round. Afterwards there were times he did get EX ST or EX Reflect. Also in the rufus matchup, use Far st.Fierce more when he gets dive kick happy. Either that or use the cl.Roundhouse~Jab+Short option select during those rushdown dive kicks…

Went to a tournament on Sunday and itwas on xbox and I was shit. Anyway, I’m notthe one who played Rose my partner is. He is a PSN player like me. PSN is BonusJin. He currently has 4.5k PP and 11k BP. He got us to 3rd place in this tournament and he was Top 8 for Tekken 6 too.

Too Many focus but you did something to get away from the fei long rush. He wasn’t able to rush you down with block strings, ticks and cw bullshit.

I also like the choice in ultra 1. I like illusion spark a lot more than u2, and you showed why.

I like the hk stuffing the cw. Good stuff. Solid strings but you should know feis like dragon kicking after cross ups.

I don’t like the matchup, I do a lot of slides in this match to avoid cwings, rekka and jumps b

Thanks for the feedback!! I like to use U1 too to catch jump ins and cws. And thanks for the tip about Fei Long and crossups. I’ll keep that in mind!

Focusing on Fei will gurantee Rekkas right after. So don’t get predictable with them. He can catch your backdash.

EDIT: had a few casual sets recorded this past Wednesday at Xanadu. [media=youtube]Vhc41TJlDIc]Honda and Ryu. st.strong>cr.strong> spark or drill.

cl.forward>cr.jab>cr.short>cr.strong> spark or drill

Counter Hit cl.forward>cr.strong> spark or drill

just a few off the top of my head. She’s not fancy with combos so something simple as a hit confirm off cr.strong or cr.forward into a special is enough at times.
