In Rose vs. Dee-Jay, is it better for Rose to play a full screen game, or a close-range game?
she can do either really. Treat the match the same as Guile except you have to worry about a slide that knocks down, and Dee Jay’s crossup game. Don’t get too picky when he has meter since he has EX kick (don’t remember the name. goes through fireballs.) and you can’t cross up Dee Jay on knockdown with meter (you can safe jump him though). Without meter, you can option select with j.HP~Slide just in case he tries to do LP jackknife. spark and Reflect accordingly and use your pokes. (mainly st.forward, st.fierce).
Dont forget that dread kicks can beat cr.mp. This is the most annoying thing for me in this matchup(along with short hop. HATE that thing can punish me for AA’ing) beacuse as soon as i start my poking into offense i get smacked by this. Does cr.mk beat dread kick? I was to scared to try since that thing is so slow.
Not on startup IIRC. LK Dread kick always gets me since it has that lower invincibility. Maybe at max range.

I dont know Oni i thought it was lk.dread but i might be wrong but me and this guy played in ranked about 5 times and from what i remeber it looked like the first part of lk.dread. I looked at the frame data and there arent any notes filled in for dread kicks at all so i cant confirm it but i remeber seeing/reading that dread kicks has lower body invincibility.
There is hitbox data on the internet 
It clearly shows this invincibility. It’s the ideal counter against shoto C.MK

Balrog broke my PSN streak today too.
I got busted at 46 by a Viper player. Seriously lack experience there. Getting hit three times air-to-air with an overhead to throw afterwards in only a two-round match is just too much to rectify. And of course a desperation ultra to finish it off. Can’t have them all.

i also use viper instead of Rose
Note: Quality is a little bleh
Viper gets option selected to death on wakeup with either j.HP~Ultra1/Ultra2 or j.HP~Slide. I’m more than sure neutral j.HP also works after front throw. Have to get the timing down with the hitbox though just like her j.HP option selects.

I always end up having trouble against Viper sometimes, although she beats Viper. Slide is really effective against Viper in that match-up; it beats her EX Seismos, and goes underneath her burn kicks. I had a 56 win streak in the SRKLive lobby with Rose on New Year’s Eve, until I lost to a Dhalsim player.
