I always press lp + lk for technicals, although I know I could alternatively keep pressing down right before I hit the ground. Time for me to go back into Versus Mode and survive against the clock…again. I don’t think that’s working.
When you technical, just press the 3kick button.
It’s a much safer option.
BTW, I don’t see why you guys say Backdashing isn’t good on wake up.
If you backdash and you see that they aren’t doing anything about it, abuse the shit out of it.
So make sure you know your opponent before they know you and abuse the shit Rose has >.>
I noticed Tokido pushed st.short whenever you did a drill too far to avoid block stun and punish which I think was pretty neat. I assume all shotos an do this though.
and backdashing on wakeup isn’t good to abuse even if they don’t punish you for it because it’ll become a habit that’ll be hard to break once you do fight someone who will punish you for them. This really goes for anyone that has something abusable. If you’re playing anyone with some sense though, you’ll get option selected all day.

Yo if they don’t punish you for it, and thus gives you a free escape, then FUCKING USE IT. It doesn’t have to be habitual. It’s just immensely safer to backdash as Rose than say Rufus, Honda or Zangief. Since it works for her, you’re stupid for not using it.
And as I’ve said before, some characters don’t have good option selects like Charge characters. And all of the cast, when standing right next to Rose, can’t do an option select sweep if you focus backdash a jab or something.
I was playing Hugo101 in a local ranbat once, and he didn’t option select me from what I’ve noticed. And I’m sure he knows how cause he is an EXCRUCIATINGLY GOOD PLAYER, but it just didn’t come to his mind. >.>
So I started backdashing, and I got punished probably once because he did the EX Psycho Crusher after cr. lk scissors.
So if option select doesn’t come into their mind, then feel free to abuse your free escape.
Habitual freebitual, come on now, if they option select, then stop backdashing.
You have to figure out how your opponent plays before you make an approach. Adapt QUICKLY.
Usually I like to backdash on wake-up, but if I see my opponent punishing it with a OS sweep more than once, then I pretty much know that he has caught on. From there, I decide to just block instead.
Thank you Anton for the 3x kick suggestion. I’ll get familiar with it. Great Rose play from Sako once again, I always learn a thing or two from watching him play.
Instead of backdashing, focus backdashing on wakeup should not be option selectable, and if you cancel the focus into backdash almost immediately the opponent may actually not be able to throw you at all (that would actually be a good question for the game mechanics experts).
I think you would be throwable. It also adds the risk of the extra damage when you do get hit.
i would watch out for akuma if he goes for a demon flip into a sweep OS demon, but thats a rare occurence, its just a precaution you should take if you actually fight one.

I am looking for matches of Rose Vs Cammy (a very aggressive Cammy!) Last time I got beaten by a Cammy player who barely let me breathe.
Just played at the break weekly, my third tournament i believe? the video should be up in a few days. Placed 7th, i couldnt really connect combos, mostly did zoning and footsies for the most part. Almost beat marlin pie’s cammy, i ended up losing to ryder in losers =/ . Im most happy about getting compliments from EMP dieminion and EMP andre that i have a good rose, which definitely made my day

A freaking Rose player getting some hype on the front page. Every time I see that I get hype. Also I have a few vids up of my Rose. I was wondering if anybody wanted to give me and pointers or tips if you have them. Also if anyone is down for mirrors.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who feels like that. I got the same thing when I went to a local place for a tourney and did some casuals. I felt like there was serious button lag. I could barely do c.MPxxSoul spiral. Crouching short kept coming out instead, like it wouldn’t register the crouching strong or my QCF. I was like WTF.
I know how you feel as well. When you play online, and then go to play offline, the timing does feel really different. I was wondering who om nom nom was. Your Rose did amazing! I was rooting for you on the stream.
