Only reason I didn’t reflect is cos I completely forgot about that move in that match. Can’t remember what I was thinking about. Some matches all I do is try to practice reflect. I’m still trying to learn stuff and find some balance with rose. I guess I could have at least neutral jumped a few booms or FA’d them at least.
I used U1 just to practice once again. Obviously I didn’t use it right that match. So far only U1 setup I know is lp spark> U1 if they jump over the spark at the right distance :sad:
I’m always open for more tips and advice. Alot of you guys here on the Rose forum are full of match up knowledge, combos and what moves are good / bad to use. I wish more of you would post videos cos so far I’m having to depend on what I see from Luffy mostly to see what I can pick up. I’d like to see more Rose playstyles etc so I can learn all that she is capable of and then see what works for me and what I can improve in my play.
You say very nice Rose but I know that my game is riddled with holes to exploit and bad habits. I can’t spot them all by myself and I lack experience and knowledge of my own character. Need you guys to post vids and critique harshly.
This ken was pretty weak regardless of how many points he has. He wasn’t abusing kara-throws or safe jumps on Rose. U2 is useless against him if he goes knockdown into safejump into option select throw/cr.lk string.
hey same here, i played against the No. 1 ranked north american Ryu player on XBL…he was really bad…he has something like 16000 or 17000 bp… my Guy wrecked him…baited out sooo many SRK’s

Good fights you guys. Shame Metro didn’t win against Sagat. You deserved to win it. Funny how first round you kept testing to see if he will mash dp and he didn’t then last round he started mashing alot.
lol yeah that was pretty gay. People only post the games they win. I can’t take Sagat players seriously anymore. You saw in the first round he started to back away from me after I did a random soul throw? Like seriously? He thought he was gonna zone me and win?
He was pretty spot on with anti-airs though. I tend to jump at Sagat players I underestimate (all of them :wgrin:).
And Mr. Flowers, since you put forth the effort to hunt down Rose videos, I’d like to invite you to my replay channel some time. And I’ll definitely start saving more replays (since I don’t have a camera)

lol Woww, this video is soo old. Ive gotten much better with the guile matchup, in fact, just today i reflected two EX sonic booms on reaction! I felt so godlike at that moment.
Thats a pretty horrible Sagat.
On another note. Against Sagat players, Rose can pretty much reflect the shit out of him and pressure all game long.
The more Tiger Shots he shoots at you, the more meter and pressure game Rose gains. Basically just reflect, absorb and slide down while he leaves openings. He doesnt have that tiger knee pressure he had on Vanilla, so most options are against him up close, and fortunately for Rose, even from long range. This match should go to Rose, easy, imo.

I was playing at my local casual ranbat spot just yesterday, and hugo101 asked me if I had played Sagat recently. My first reaction was, “Hell no, who uses Sagat? lol”
Just as I thought, the matchup was in favor of Rose. THANK GOD!
Ever since Vanilla, I always thought Rose had a pretty decent long range game, but what killed her was Sagats ability to pressure with Tiger Knee, and his damage. So you usually found yourself doing okay for a few seconds until Sagat found itself near you. Then its one combo leaving you almost dead… lol

I can’t say if I have, but I probably did once at least. It’s phenomenal if a Sagat player leaves any memory of respectable play. I was totally just playing for fun though. And that was back in May. I dedicated most of that month to Hakan; the new “joke” character.
I’ve joined you, Mr. Flowers, on leaving Sak (cept I didn’t stop at Dudley along the way) for Rose =P.
Just one thing about Ryan Hart. You would think, after watching Luffy sit back and absorb plasma like a 60 year old in need of a transfusion, that it would click that “Maybe it isn’t the best idea to chuck plasma so god damn much.”

Good to see another familiar face. I’ve noticed more people starting to like Rose. She is definately more appealing now. Saks is still cool. I was just kinda bored after maining her only for a year.

Yeah, I much prefer her pressure and pokes to Sak’s, plus it’s nice not to have to put a lot of faith into a 50/50 mixup game.
