Yo you can punish blocked EX Green Hand. It’s one of the moments Gief will give you a free combo. Or you can opt to back throw if you’re in the corner.
Also I recommend that you try playing vs Gief at a closer range and not using so many sparks. Use more heavies or at least be in the range where Gief thinks he can get you and try baiting something out of him that way. If his lariat wasn’t stupid good I wouldn’t be afraid to fight him close range. Honestly WTF Capcom.

You played solid. You lost because it was Sagat and the window for reflects suck ass.
I’m still learning this match so I can’t say much, but I decided to start FADCing through tiger shots to get to him. It’s more reliable than reflecting tiger shots full screen, plus you don’t have to be scared of getting kara dp’ed during empty jumps. It may not be the best solution but you will probably save more life doing that than reflecting.
Yeah. after that match ive decided to lessen my reflect usage against Sagat period. I get hard headed and get determined for it to work sometimes tho lol. I hate Tiger Shots grrr.
lol ThRose. I think you were playing pretty frantically, probably caused by nerves and such. and in that, became predictable and reckless.
My basic advice is to fight firefights with fireballs more than reflects, unless it’s lp reflect. that’s the one I’ve had most success with overall, and extra meter for EX spark or otherwise is always a good thing. Just have to really watch for tiger shot speeds if you’re not looking to match it with sparks.
You definitely seemed to be doing most of the work in the match as far as pressuring is concerned. Sagat looked like a giant magnet and you had metal all over your hands.
Saqs, you still owe me some matches, by the way. But I won’t hold you to that since my stick is pretty busted, and I don’t want to give you too easy of a match. Iunno when or if I’ll ever get a new stick, but should that time come, be ready, buddy. :china:

Beating Steve in any game is hard, moreso when he has a Sagat character. You’re probably lucky that he didn’t jump on a table and rip his shirt off or something during the match. Just don’t get in his way when it comes to said hype or chicken wings.

Here’s some videos of me at 8 on the Break versus Evil Rahsaan of Empire Arcadia. I suck in the first round due to I never play warm up matches which I need to start doing. I pretty much lose to Seth’s jumping roundhouse which has that weird crossup ability and damn command grabs which is my weakness. I did much better this time than against Demon Hyo’s Seth.
