Post vids of yourself playing against higher level players if you want more feedback. Thereās not much to say when looking at you steamroll average online warriors. If the guy youāre playing canāt break throws, or just⦠doesnāt block, Thereās no advice or comments to be given. If you want general stuffā¦
-Conserve your super meter. You were using ex sparks/spirals when there was really no need. Unless it will kill or put you in a position to win right away, thereās pretty much never a reason to do reflect FADC soul throw
-Donāt use focus so much: Roseās focus is pretty weak. Good players are not just going to run into it.
-Beat Bison stomp/reverse w/ neutral jump fierce. You let that guy get away with it way too much. Gotta challenge it and make him stop.
Thereās really not a whole lot more that can be said.
I donāt think it was the ālevelā of play causing no comments, you didnāt write anything. Did you want advice, or point something out about each match, etc? Test capture card? Up your watch count?
What Darmonde and Forte said is true. Not a lot can be gleaned if itās all Wās. The Juri for example, was the average noob online one imo. She didnāt do a whole lot of fireballs (or didnāt mix it up/have a good rhythm with stores and releases), loved jumping and dive kick way too much, poor spacing, and missed the Ultra 2 combo. You also didnāt mention asking for feedback in the earlier posts (if you did here or in FB and I didnāt see it, I apologize).
I know how you feel. I did not get as much mileage from the Chun video threads in the past as I hoped. Itās true that the Japanese XBL replays are the most viewed, SF4-wise. However, thatās not the way to take it, if feedback is slow to arrive.
If no-oneās replying it out in the open, take it to PMās to one of the better Roses that you trust, or feel can help. I know Heavy_Mental has already said his part on FB for example. Sometimes you just reach that level. There are people who donāt know as much as you, or they feel that not a lot can be said, and have already said their piece(s) in a small post. Others might not be that eloquent and comfortable at giving critique too. In such case, just post from time to time to ask, or do the PM thing I suggested above. If that doesnāt work, just take a break and watch other matchvids, or soak up time in the lab.
These are things that I didnāt get til recently, and among the valuable. They are also the little things that some of my Chun teachers told me. If you let yourself be truly frusrtated and upset, things will only get worse.
Iām not as good as you, so sorry for being unable to help as much, character-wise. As is, sheās one of my alts, so I can only see/help with the small stuff that you probably know better too.
Oh please.
If you wanted feedback, you should have taken the initiative and asked for it. Quit acting like a petulant child. Youāre not doing yourself any favors by throwing a tantrum and taking snipes at others for not giving you something you didnāt ask for in the first place.
That aside, I can offer my critique if you post gameplay against stronger opponents. Thereās not much advice we can give when your opponents donāt even seem to know how to properly play their own character, much less play against Rose.
Same than Heavy_mental : youāll observe that every player who asked for comments did get some. You didnāt. And as your Rose seemed pretty good already, you did not looked like needing it.
I sort of agree with the others on this. Your Rose didnāt seem bad at all and you didnāt ask for feedback so I assumed you were just posting for others to watch. As for Jiban, you could look at it more positively and use his videos as help. We can all learn something from the top players out there!
Old sets I found on my HD. Two matchups Iām not familiar with that I really ought to know better about (particularly Rufus).
Iāll try to get more contemporary AE/v2012 stuff up soon. I miss my friendās olā PS3 with the costume packs.

Thereās only so much damage you can do to Rufus while playing keep-away. Key to winning this matchup I feel is to rush him down relentlessly when you have an opening.
Crouch tech with cr.HP if you want to blow up repeated dive kicks. Keep in mind however that if Rufus does anything else (frame trap, pause) you can get punished for it. Itās not an option you want to rely on but you need to show your opponent you have it to discourage him from abusing dive kick.
EX Messiah Kick starts up in 11 frames so if you have your meaties down, you should not be afraid of rushing him down. Do be careful about being too reckless with your pressure though. Youāre practically begging to get reversalled if you go into extend Spiral blockstrings against a Rufus with meter. If Rufus doesnāt have meter, I recommend you rush his fat ass down. If he does have meter but you are down in life, I would also recommend rushing him down. Force him to burn that meter if you can. You can go under reversal EX Messiah with a well-timed cr.MK. Even if you are a little off, Rufus still might go sailing over Roseās head, enabling you to punish him. Itās a good option to go to against reversal happy Rufus players. Cr.MK also doubles as a frame trap so you definitely should include it in your arsenal.
I play with the same approach towards Makoto. You can only keep Makoto out for so long before she finds a crack in your defense and takes you to town. Her wakeup options are painfully limited, even with meter, so if you get a knockdown on Makoto and youāve got a life deficit to make up, you have little reason not to go in.
Iād first recommend you learn the frame data on her moves first. You were dropping a lot of punishes on her Hayate. The normal versions are at least -6 on block and EX is -4. Nothing you canāt punish with cr.MP if you put in a little bit of practice.
Pressuring Makoto is fairly straightforward. Learn to do meaty option-select sweep so you can punish her for backdashing. EX Oroshi comes out incredibly slowly so you donāt have to worry about getting hit by that reversal unless you do cl.MK or something. Itās worth mentioning that move has no throw invincibility whatsoever so you can just grab her out of the animation. Besides backdash and EX Oroshi, youāll only really have to worry about EX Karakusa and Ultras. Both options are incredibly risky for Makoto but youāll have to assume that sheāll go for them at some point, just because their reward is so high. In those situations, just sit and block outside of her command grab range.
Unless your opponent is absolutely miserable at timing meaties, I recommend you avoid throwing out reversal EX Spiral because it loses to just about every normal Makoto has. Getting too poke-happy against Makoto is also a risk, as a smart one will probably start buffering EX Hayate into her pokes. If you get hit by one of those ones, say hello to the corner and goodbye to a large chunk of your life, possibly. She can also beat your pokes with Tsurugi (Axe Kick).
Lastly, donāt ever try to cross Makoto up unless sheās on her back. Getting hit by Fukiage x 2 into EX Tsurugi into the corner is not fun at all.
Managed to get a video of the number one Rose, DRS filipin0man (or āRoseā on these forums)!! I always found Balrog to be one of the more annoying Rose matchups, so I quite liked this match.

I like the way he uses fMK to break Boxerās charges, thatās a nice idea. I used EX spark, but had problems when being meterless against boxer armored charges. Nothing too fanƧy, but good play nevertheless. =)
Another match from the two. ( :

Slide is actually slightly risky. Rose will get punished if he does EX Dash Low Straight or Smash. Ideally, she should be buffering cr.MK into EX Spiral to beat armored dash punches.
Edited for clarity.
Thank you very much sir, gonna digest it and watch it again with those points in mind.
She ideally should be grabbing them out of dash punches, but each dash punch serves a purpose and EX Dash Low Straight isnāt that threatening because waking up isnāt too difficult. The EX Hook is hard to grab out of, so why not just make him whiff with low attacks.
Smash is threatening, but they wouldnāt be just throwing that out there hoping you slide, because thatās a lot of damage for a punish that Rose is going to do in return.
Fair points. Iām not confident enough in my reactions to attempt a grab. Cr.MK xx EX Spiral does the job for me.
I donāt like cr. MK ex spiral because if he does walk in to you blocking, you just buffered into jab sweep knockdown lol
